Course Curriculum Overview
Nowdays in India Mininig industry is developing stage. In 2017 govt pass a bill in parliament National mineral policy 2017 to increase sustainable mining. So there is lot of opportunities in mining engineering in present time in govt as well as private.
Internships Opportunities
Mining department provide internship for all students 2nd year and 3rd in respective companies. But internship is unpaid. In MBM University 90 days internship is compulsory. At the time of internship there is chance of PPO.
Placement Experience
There is good placement in MBM University. In mining, electrical and mechanical almost students got there job if they are all clear in the final year and previous year. In mining Vedanta is major company for campus placement. Package of Vedant almost 16 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
In MBM University there is two type of seats and 13 branch. One is called GAS seat and one is SFS seat. GAS seat fees is 30000 rs per year and SFS seat fees is 60000 rs per year. EEE, ECC and IT areas the SFS seats rest are GAS seats. MBM was established in 1951 so building are old and they are in bad condition. In MBM University alumni scholarship are provided as well as govt scholarship also provided. If there is no active backlog in final year there is 100% chance of placement in mining, electrical and mechanical branch.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel fees is only rs 10300 per year . In 1st year there is 2 hostel for boys and 3 seats in one room. Total 12 hostel in MBM University both girls and boys. Girls hostel facility is good. There is no extra charge for electricity and water. Mess food is not good and mess fees is 4000 per year.
Admission
In MBM University admission is done through REAP which is a government portal. Admission based on JEE mains and to get admission in MBM for computer engineering and information technology there is cut is 90 percentile almost .
Faculty
In mining department almost 12 professor but there is only 2 permanent professor one is assistant professor and one is Head of department. Guest faculty is well educated and experienced of almost 20 years of experience each.
