What Students Say
Likes
- I like my hostel, accommodation is very nice
- mess food is very tasty , scrumptious and homelike
- the college is surrounded by greenery and breath taking nature!
Dislikes
- The scorching desert heatwaves in the summer and chilling winter smog make walking across the vast, vehicle-free campus exhausting for a big chunk of the academic year.
- Mandatory interdisciplinary projects and strict attendance policies leave little breathing room for students wanting to focus strictly on self-driven coding, competitive exams or independent side projects.
- The campus is situated far off the highway in the industrial backdrop of Neemrana, there is virtually no social or city life right outside the gates.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is industr-aligned with strong project-based learing and a mandatory final-year internship. Exams feature well-placed mid and end terms, though early theory subjects need more practical coding.
Fees and Financial Aid
Joining NU involves three main one-time payments : a 1500rs application fee , a 20000rs acceptance fee and a 60,000rs security deposit that gets refunded when you graduate. Your yearly base tuition starts at rs 3,87,200 if paid anually , rs 2,05,000 per semester. When you add hostel , mess and laundry charges , your total first year expense lands between rs 5.7L to 5.8L depending on your room choice. Keep in mind that fees typically increase by around 6% per year , but you will save on hostel costs during your fourth-year off-campus internship. Everyone pays the exact same base tuition as NU does not have separate management quotas or inflated category rates. However , they offer specific annual fee waiver to lighten the bill. Students from SC , ST , OBC Categories or Armed Forces backgrounds recieve a flat rs 15,000 each year. If you're a rajasthan resident , a NU sibling , a child of a NIIT employee , you get a rs 25,000 waiver each year. Your tuition fee can drop significantly through the NU Scholar Search Programme . Based on your 10th and 12th marks or entrance scores in JEE , CUET , or BITSAT you can get between rs 50,000 and rs 2,00,000 off tuition each year , with top rankers receiving full 100% waivers. Choosing ECE , Robotics , or Biotech automatically bumps your scholarship up by one level. On top of this , female students get an extra rs 15,000 yearly Women in STEAM Scholarship , and sports or arts achievements add a 25,000 rs COX Waiver. You can also apply for external merit-cum-needs grants through Buddy4Study , and as long as you keep your CGPA above 6.0 , your scholarship stays intact.
Campus Life
Campus life is vibrant with events like IngeNUity, TEDx , SiNUsoid and other clubs. Infrastructure includes smart classrooms, a rich digital library and great sports amenities across a green, fully residential campus.
Admission
I chose this university over other private colleegs due to its mandatory final-year Industry Practice, low student-teacher ratio, and green campus. The addmission process via JEE/NUMET and personal interview was smooth and merit-focused.
Faculty
Faculty are approachable with low student-to-teacher ratios. The curriculum is project-driven and industry-ready. Exams feature mid/end terms with realtive grading, making passing fair with regular study.
Night Life
Campus nightlife is centered indoors with night canteens and sports area open until set hours. Strict hostel curfews ensure safety, though off-campus nightlife in Neemrana is practically non-existent.
