Course Curriculum Overview
Aktu's curriculum is old and outdated . Doesn't matches the industry standards.(Maybe we can say that for almost every college in India ). Exams are very frequent. 7-8 hrs classes every day geta tiring. And you don't get time for anything else.
Placement Experience
Due to recession placements of every college has taken a hit and akgec is no different. More than 40% of the 2023 batch was unplaced. Though if we look at previous year's placement it stood at 5.5lpa (average package )
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees only will set you back around 5.5 lakhs for the whole btech programme irrespective of the branch. Hostel fees is another 1.2-1.3 lakhs extra depending upon the type of room you take. There are scholarships available for the students whose household income is less than 2 lakhs per year.
Campus Life
The campus and social life is pretty dead for the most part. There are barely any events conducted let alone a cultural fest. Life becomes very monotonous after a few months. There is also no summer break.
Admission
My admission was done on the basis of aktu counselling. It began in late September which was very lage. Most of the colleges were started with their batches more than a month before. Physical reporting at the college was also very hectic as it took more than 6 hours to get the whole process completed
Faculty
Faculty members are well qualified but do seem very interested in teaching. They stick to the aktu curriculum and teach what will come in exams. There is no enthusiasm in them. If you ask them for their help they are happy to help so it's fine
