What Students Say

Likes

The management of the college is very good and helpful.
The campus is lush green and very well designed.
There is a large no. Of societies according to your interest.

Dislikes

The attendance criteria of 75% is strictly followed.
No Air conditioner in the classroom and laboratory
Large focus on academics by periodically taking tests.

Course Curriculum Overview

As the college is linked to AKTU so it follows their curriculum which is outdated. The real world experience starts from 2nd year and the 1st year consists of unnecessary subjects which are of no use for a software engineer. But the technical societies here keeps you up to date.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 121000 per year

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements from the 7 th semester that is 4 th year. The top company is Amazon ,whereas mass recruiters like Wipro ,TCS , Infosys also take part. The highest package is off campus which is of 1.3 crore from Amazon.Around 70% of the students gets placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is affordable as compared to other colleges, the academic fee is 121000 for an academic year which is to be paid once or you can also pay it semester wise. The hike in fees is less . The scholarship is provided by up government based on your family income. You can also work under professors for research work.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many events happening in the college like DISHA,BDC etc . You can borrow books from the library. There is smart board in the classroom. There are well organised coordinating committees for different sports and cultural activities. All these are operated by students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The rooms are good and the food provided is also decent. The menu is different for summer and winter. You have to fill a form in the college for getting hostel room. There are limited rooms , so getting room is based on availability. The pg nearby are not that good and the food is also not good.

Hostel Fee: INR 130000 per year

Admission

You take admission through AKTU counseling which is based on your JEE mains score. You can find the details of it on the AKTU website and akgec website. There are various types of reservations for different categories which you can see on the AKTU website. The early start of the counseling is eagerly welcomed if done.

Faculty

3.5

The student to faculty ratio is good . Some teachers are PhD from IITs , the teaching quality is good , but they lack industry experience. The faculties are easily approachable through WhatsApp and their cabins. The societies are functional and help you in every other way.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

What I See at SRM Ghaziabad

Likes

I really appreciated the college clubs and hackathons.
There are variety of events throughout the semester, something to always keep you on your feet.
Some of the faculties are really really experienced and have a unique approach that captures the attention of all the students.

Dislikes

Not many hotspots around campus to hang out after classes.
The infrastructure of the hostel can be improved a lot.
Food in mess is not great, the menu is not very diverse. Everything has aloo.

Placement Experience:

Placements are actually impressive with our college having the highest placement rate among others in the region. We usually achieve ~90% placement. We get opportunities from many large groups, such as Infosys, TCS, JPMC, BNY, Logitech, etc etc The list goes on. The highest package that I saw was of around 1Cr from a company I don't remember their name, but it was based out of SF and was a really great one. Average placement we see is around 12-20LPA packages.

The food may sometimes be not very good.
The campus has less places to spend some free time other than some spots.
Due to small academic hall places may look too crowded.

Placement Experience:

The placements in the college is really one of the the factors convincing everyone to take admission in SRM ,average package from the college is of around 10,00,000 which is really a very good amount in todays stresfull market.

Inside AKGEC Life

1) I had applied for colleges like jss noida,gl bajaj , kiet , akgec through UPTAC counselling for those who gave JEE Exam. i preferred this college because after reading reviews about it ,consulting senior students. 2) I could get this college based on my rank . I could not make it to other colleges because of their high cutoff for the CSE branch. 3) admission process includes direct admission where students are admiitted based on 10th,12th score and branches are alloted based on their score, 2nd is through the uptac counselling for students who want to get admission through JEE Score. overall admission experience was good....Read More

so bascially i didn't choose this college . i did mistake in my uptac counselling and get this college but when i studied here and seen all the aktu colleges i prefer this is good because it ranked 3 in up colleges .the college is ranked 3 in whole up and its naac A++ so yes its a great college so to get admission in akgec there are two ways by 10+2 percentage marks or by uptac counselling you have to fill your choices in uptac counselling so fill it very carefully without any mistake so the overall to get any cs/it branch your jee percentile should be above 88 and below that you can get any other core branches....Read More
