- The Administration of my college is worst .Many important circulars are sent a night before .
- As far as the Academics is concerned many courses are backdated and needs to be updated keeping in mind the changing job
- The College Campus size is too small and doesn't not give a feel of college campus which the other colleges in Kolkata have.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Courses that I'm pursuing has many benefits .For example in my 4th sem I have studied DAA and it's course was structured very well meaning every topic needed to master it was covered from the scratch. On the other hand topics like analog and digital was not structured nicely. Many topics that are needed to master it very missing . In The 3rd Sem i had python but there was only practical and no theory paper which shouldn't be there python is a very important subject in the modern AI World and we should have been taught in the most detailed way possible.
Internships Opportunities
I haven't applied to any internship opportunities provided by the college. So i don't have any detailed idea about the internship opportunity in the college. By many of my friends have applied to some AICTE Internships provided by the College.
Placement Experience
The Placement for the CSE IT and ECE Department is very decent . For rest of the branches the placement is not 100% . Mass recruiters are the TCS PWS Cognizant Deloitte and some others. The Placement for CSE Department is nearly 100%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of my college is far less as compared to other private colleges of West Bengal . Many Scholarship opportunities such as West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme, The SVMCM Scholarship help the students to complete their courses easily without much pressure on their financial situation. Also the Tution Fee Waiver Quota is available for the students.
Campus Life
The Campus Life is very boring. There are many clubs in the college, you may join these clubs as per your choice of interest. For Club Activities no attendance will be considered,if you're attending the club events it's solely your responsibility to manage your academics alo g with the cocuricular activities. The best part of campus life is the College Annual Cultural Fest "The Anakhronous" . Here many singers come and perform this year Shilpa Rao came and gave an outstanding performance.
Admission
For Admission to this college you've to appear for the WBJEE Examination. You've secure a rank within 5500 to get admission into the CSE Department. Via the WBJEE Counselling you'll get admission into this college. The Admission was very hectic process . Also the college offers management quota option.it means if your rank is not good enough to get admission to this college you may get admission by paying some extra money to the college.The Actual Fees for the management quota is decided by the college.
Faculty
Most of the Faculties are highly qualified and they are always ready to help us. They promote research ideas and also motivate us toh participate in National and State Level Hackathons. Some Faculties are very dangerous they are feared by most of the students.the students of our department face problem in facing then as a result they get into trouble many a times which shouldn't be the case.
