What Students Say
Likes
- There is no uniform in akgec, so do not have to worry about it. You wear any thing of your choice which seperate Akgec from nearby colleges in which uniform is there like in Abes etc. Even you are free to show your fashion skills in our Verb Society
- Teachers are very supportive and talented they try very hard to make you understand the topic. Akgec mainly focuses on your academic performance so it will be sure that even an average student can get a good SGPA because of strict academic schedule.
- There are multiple societies in campus like technical, art and craft. So you will get lot of exposure.
Dislikes
- Fine over everything like if you are late then 100-200 rupees will be deducted from your security money.
- Rude staff in registrar office which generally do not talk with politeness.
- Your parents will inform about everything like if are not performing good in exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum at AKGEC is solid and covers all the important areas of my field. Key subjects like advanced programming and project management influenced my decision to join. The coursework does a good job of connecting theory with real-world use, preparing us well for jobs or further studies. However, adding more hands-on projects and the latest industry trends could make it even better. Exams are fair but frequent like every month, giving a good balance between practicing and learning. Overall, the curriculum is strong but could use more practical experiences and regular updates.
Placement Experience
At akgec in 7th sem you are eligible for campus placements. Accenture visited on our campus and selected around 120 students. Highest package was about 34 lpa offered by comvoult and average package is around 4lpa. This year the graph is low around 60% students are getting placed. I am willing to work in some good it firm as a software Developer Role.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our tution fees was around 119000 per year along with this we have to pay a 8000 fee for aktu exams too. There is a UP Scholarship Scheme under which half of our tution fees get refunded. And there is a possibility of reward of few thousand if you perform exceptional in exam or in attendance.
Campus Life
Only 2-3 fests are being happen like freshers, farewell and kite flying etc. Library provide a wide range of books from academic to spiritual everything. We have smart board in classroom with wifi connection and some classes contains AC too. There is scope for sports like events happen which encourages students to participate e.g. Zonals , saksham etc. There are multiple societies in the college like Software Incubator, cloud computing, sae, Nirman etc which provides a great value addition.
Admission
I got admission through UPTU examination back in 2020 where I got a rank of 3500 and thorough counciling I got Information Technology branch at akgec. But if you have around 95% in Intermediate even then you get admission without any issues.
Faculty
As I am from IT branch in which 190 students are there and number of teachers are around 40. So we can assume in a teacher teaches us about 2-4 semesters. Well teacher's are well trained and always try to solve students doubts and queries. Generally our class is very interactive.
