Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum of SREC is updated regularly to align with industry needs and emerging technologies. This ensures that students are learning relevant and current information that prepares them for the modern engineering challenges. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in core engineering principles and ensuring that the student have a strong fundamental knowledge about the technology. Regularly updating lab equipment's and more frequent guest lecturers, industry seminars can be improved. The exams usually occur at the end of each semester with internal test and quizzes throughout the semester. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate to challenging which needs better understanding about the course and the curriculum and we're give enough time to prepare for that.

Internships Opportunities

5

Students can take internships from any domain the student wants and it can either be paid or free. Industries like L&T provide internship opportunities with 10000 stipend per month. Also few got internship in IITs.

Placement Experience

5

Right from the 6th semester students are eligible for placements and the training is given from the 3rd semester itself. As it was recession period, this year fee companies visited and had no offers but lately they provided another chance and people got placed for different roles. The highest package for this year is 25lpa for software developer in JP Morgan and average package is about 12lpa. The percentage of students getting placed is 92%. My plan is that to work in well reputed company.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee varies for management and government quota seats. For government quota with first graduate it is 27500 and for government quota without first graduate is 55000 and for management quota is 145000. There are many scholarship that can be availed which includes minor scholarship also and also the alumni of SREC provide fund for students who has single parent every year.

Campus Life

5

In the month of May we usually have the annual day celebration in which the neat outgoing students are awarded. And also we have technical festivals for each and every department which occurs at different times. There are large number of books available in the library which includes subject books, journals, magazines and even story books. The classrooms are well equipped with a projector and screen with a Wi-Fi connection This campus offer wide range of sports and they have won many tournaments There are many clubs being run by students which includes reading moment @ srec, Tamil mandram, fac, yi yuva, phorartz, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is quite good. The room is big and 4 people are allowed to stay in a single room and it has shelves to organize our things. The bathroom is common. The meal quality is good and taste is good. The menu includes, idly, dosa, Pongal, variety rice, chapathi, parotta, noodles for breakfast and dinner, and for lunch it's meals. The registration is simple that's you fill the form and a card will be given in which you have to paste the picture of the people who wants to visit you inside the hostel that can be parents and guardians.

Admission

Anyone who qualified 12th standard or a diploma are eligible for this course. The application form is available in the official college website www.srec.ac.in. The exams usually occur at the end of the semester and the level of exam varies from moderate to challenging and we're given enough time for preparation.

Faculty

5

SREC generally maintains 20:1 student teacher ratio, which positively impacts the learning experience. Small class size allow for more personalized attention, fostering better understanding and interaction. Many faculty members from SREC hold advanced degrees from reputed institutions and some have significant industry experience and some professors are actively involved in research. Faculty members are generally available for regular interaction outside of class hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
