Remarks

If you want to take CSE or ECE this college is the best one. My advice is to if you want CSE to take this

Entrance Preview

I am interested in computer science. After talking with many students and teachers of my +1,+2 college my interest drove me towards this one. Knowing that it is in Kerala made this college as the only one option available. Adding to this my best friend got a seat there. It seemed to be the best one.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In the computer science department, we will be having some core courses and electives. Core courses are compulsory for each and everyone and electives must be by our own interest. In the starting of the semester, they will give you a list of electives. Computer science and engineering department are handling a good number of electives, unlike other departments. Project submissions are the most interesting part, the faculty helps us in many ways and core subjects labs are the best.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, everything is best for CSE department. My faculty are best and labs are the best and in internship and placements too Many companies come to hire students for internships like Microsoft, JPMorgan many more and the highest paid one is Goldman Sachs 1 lakh per month I am currently studying in 3rd year and 50 out of 140 are hired for interns and still have this semester to make the count increasing.

Placement Experience

4

Last year 110 students registered out of 140 and all got placed and the average income is 13lakhs per annum And the Highest is 37 lakhs per annum by Microsoft. Those who got interns will get placements mostly. Ece department and EEE departments also get a good number of placements For Ece and Eee students they can sit for IT companies as well as Core companies

College Events

5

Here comes the best question Tathva and Ragam are the fests conducted by the college Each is of 3 days These 6 days memories are enough to keep us happy all over the year. Tathva is a technical fest whereas Ragam is a cultural one Ragam is fully packed up with flash mobs, dances, street plays, mimes, movie spoofs and the list go on One of the biggest south Indian cultural fest. The nights are magical. We will be having DJ nights and fashion shows. They just lighten up the campus. Tathva is a tech one. RIG group of NITC is the king in this. They display their years work in their stall. Dj nights are common. Many tech events and quizzes fill this one and the entire way is filled up with food stalls and their flavors.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Let's talk about the Tuition fee first For below 1 lakh income students it will be around 2200 for the semester For 1to 5 lakh students it will be 27500 for the semester And for above 5 Lakh, it will be around 65000 for the semester Mess fee and room rent Costs around 5000 to 6000 for a month

Fees and Financial Aid

College management gives information about many scholarships and interested students can apply. My father is ex-army personnel. So, I applied for PMSS scholarship and it gives 24000 per year. Some scholarship will be there for Minority students .some will be for Merit ones.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very good. Everything and everywhere is green. As it is Kerala, there will be many trees in the campus. Coaches will be there for each and every sport and the ground is very good. We have a football ground and hockey ground, tennis, cricket volleyball and many more... Coaches are very supportive and many students participate in inter nit competitions. Student clubs are there to decrease the gap between the students. They conduct various events and helps in bringing students closer. Girls are very competitive in each and every file. They too compete for elections. We have robotics, aerowired clubs and many more

Hostel Facilities

2

I am from Andhra Pradesh. People from Andhra comprise around 35 %. So, we have a mess especially for us. The Cooks will be from Andhra. And some messes will be for northies like that... And some will be for Keralites. When we come to accommodation we will be having 2 member sharing rooms and 4 member sharing rooms for all. We have to stay in a hostel as we don't have any rooms available for rent

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors help in many ways and they help in academics and many more. They help us in choosing electives, sports and in conducting fests

Exam Structure

Classes are from 8 AM to 12 AM. The best thing is free afternoons. Out of 5 afternoons, two days may be filled up with labs and the remaining three are left to take rest and to study. Saturday and sunday are holidays Semester is a three month term. After first 30 days we will be having a term 1 examination and after another 30 days we have to cope up with term2 examination and then comes the endsemester exams and will be given enough time to prepare well and lab exams will be just before Endsemestee exams. Students communities like SAC helps those who fears exams. And helps in conducting special classes. Exams are no way a hectic one

Admission

After completing the Councilling of JEEmains. They gave a date for admission and gave the list of documents to be submitted there. It is a quite time taking process. They verify all the documents like transfer certificate, caste certificate etc... All the details will be in www.nitc.ac.And we have to pay a fee based on income and need to submit the fee receipt.

Faculty

3.5

My department faculty is the best. It consists of four types Professors Associate professors Assistant professors Ad-hoc Ad-hoc is newly appointed ones. They work under the guidance of professors or associate professors The professor is the best ones. They bring out the interest from the students. Their way of explanation and their style makes the subject easier. Don't worry about ad-hoc, they listen to all classes of professors and learn many things from them. Assistant and associate also do well

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.
