Remarks

Although there is so much good about the college the canteen of our college isn't up to the mark, it is a pity that students have to walk for a few distances to find nice restaurants for better food

Entrance Preview

PESCE was my preferred college due to it's an autonomous body which gives students more flexibility in choosing subjects and taking up examinations, I've had also learned that the staff and the management here at PESCE were very much student friendly and it turned out to be true. The facilities offered here are really great, quality of books at the library, recreation centers, sports and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum varies with various branches and my stream (Mechanical engineering) has a great set of curriculum, it is focused on the practicality of the subjects and student interest, we have well-equipped laboratories to carry out experiments suggested by the course curriculum

Internships Opportunities

No, it does not, but students are allowed to go out on their own to find internships and the institute supports the students, I have completed 4 internships in 4 vacations

Placement Experience

3.5

Our college has a well-established placement cell that looks over the placement opportunities for the students all through the there is numerous placement drives happening throughout the year, there has been a decrease in the number of companies that take in mechanical engineering students due to the recent trend of computer science and robotics in the industry

College Events

4.5

There are various events that take place in our college, the biggest one being the PESCO, usually in the month of April the whole college celebrates PESCO and a lot of activities are held during this period like Ethnic day, Cricket tournament, Treasure hunts, Debates, Quizzes, Blood donation drives, Business idea presentation and much more

Fees and Financial Aid

College provided support to students that apply for loans or scholarships provided by the government, the college does not release any funds for the students in that matter

Campus Life

4.5

College is situated in the city of Mandya there isn't much happening but there is always a great turnout during fests or events. There is an almost equal number of girls as compared to boys and there is a lot of extracurricular activities happening almost every week which keeps the students enthusiastic

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are very good, although the food can improve there is a great number of facilities for students that live in the hostels like wifi, Recreation centers, Sports ground, swimming pool just to name a few. Mess food has not been up to the mark but it's not that bad either.

Alumni/Alumna

Several alumni have reached great feats from the college and they show up during important events such as technical talks or carrier advice fairs which help the students in a great way

Exam Structure

The exam structure is divided into two parts. The first part is the continuous internal evaluation which consists of two tests and the average marks of these two tests are considered for final grade evaluation, the second I'd the semester end examination and the scores of the exam and half of the marks scored is added to the internal average and the final score is awarded respective grades

Admission

It is a regular admission process, I had to take up KCET (entrance exam in Karnataka) and based on the marks I scored I got a pretty good ranking and PESCE being a reputed college does not give admissions to low yielding students, luckily my scores were up to the mark and I got an admission to the college and I had to visit the college do the paperwork and I am now studying here.

Faculty

4

Our college consists of well-experienced faculty who have achieved great feats in their own carriers most of them have a Ph.D., which is very useful for the students for better understanding of the subjects and this definitely helps to come from lectures that have first-hand experience about these things

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
