Remarks

College was very good. Academics are friendly and the teachers were very cooperative.

Entrance Preview

Academic was good and the location is also nice. we enjoyed a lot. I don't have friends in the starting but in the end, I have a lot of friends without whom I can't imagine my life. I got my life partner from my college so that the best part and decision I have chosen was right.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

At my time college was divided into two sub-colleges. I was in RIMT-MAEC. Curriculum activities held by our teachers as well as by our seniors once in a month. Ragging was done but not for ragging purpose. They came to our class and tell us about their life.

Internships Opportunities

No.actually there was not any such facility provided by our college on my time. But They offered us free training by BSNL Rajpura.

Placement Experience

1.5

Many companies came at my time. interview sessions were very interesting. We went for interviews and sit in the interviews but after selection, nobody gets a call for joining. We think that we were placed in a good and reputable company but in the end, we know the truth that they just time passed.

College Events

2.5

I organized one event. puzzles, project management all handled. Celebrate events was very interesting. We did fun a lot. We went to classes to encourage students to take participate in the events and also float emails to HR for the extra time we need and we bunk the classes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Not feasible but not too expensive. So so. Actually, the fees were OK but hostel fees were very high. Hostel fees were 65k for one semester during my b. Tech period. We manage to live and extra expense was handled by us like if we want to go outside from college premises we have to manage by yourself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. I availed one scholarship. But that was not provided by our college. sikh minority scholarship provided me a scholarship of 6000 Rs per semester.

Campus Life

4.5

They are overall good. Sports activities are not happening. I was hosteler so we did all the activities by yourself. Every Saturday or Sunday we went outside for sports activities and for the outing. Labs were good but time was quite long. The lab time period was 3 hours so I was bored every time because proper equipment they don't have.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Ac hostel was good and food yuummm. Hostel fees were 65k for one semester during my b. Tech period. We manage to live and extra expense was handled by us like if we want to go outside from college premises we have to manage by yourself.and sometimes we went to the canteen and canteen burger price is started from 50rs.

Alumni/Alumna

IMO they have to reunite all seniors so that we can meet and remember the precious moments.and also stay in the same hostel room.

Exam Structure

Very strict. Every time my exams were in the morning shift when winter comes and in the evening shift during summer. So at that time that was quite difficult for everyone to sit for 3 hours in the exam. Also, write the exam when either you were hungry or you feel sleepy.

Admission

First interview section about the college then fees discussed. visit the college and tell me all the fields they had. Taken my documents and filled a form for admission then we went to the hostel and took a meal. Food was good and then we went to the canteen. And

Faculty

4.5

Very cooperative.and always ready for help. They gave us handwritten notes. And also provide us an easy way to learn and how to tackle the exams they gave us hints and gave us extra classes whenever syllabus was pending. Help us to improve our skills and behavior.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
