Course Curriculum Overview

4

For each semester, there is atleast one non curricular course added for the students to gain interest. The aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course was that the course has up to date things required for cyber security. The Peace related subject for each semester helps the student to be a better person. The areas for improvement in the course can be like implementation of certain real world practicals. The semester exams takes place 2 times in an year , one in May and the another one in December.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are many companies visiting for the internship in the college. To name a few, there is PhonePe, Bugsmirror, CrowdStrike, Credence, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, etc. Typically the role for now is just the Software Developer or the Web Developer.

Placement Experience

3.5

From 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 100-150 companies visit the college. The highest package is 51.36 lpa and the average is 7 lpa. Percentage of students getting placements is 80%.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees remains same for all four years you are doing engineering. The college doesn't ask for any money from the student other than this. The complete cost is around 3.55 lakh per year. The college provides a merit based scholarship based on the marks got in JEE and MHT-CET. The name is "Dr. Vishwanath Karad Merit based scholarship". The College also provides campus employment like internships but no stipend is provided.

Campus Life

5

Annually MIT Fest is organised named "AAROHAN". Also every department hosts it's own technical fest every 3-4 months. Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) is a separate building, named ‘Agastya’, which has the area of 3056 sq.m (Basement + 6 Floors). The library supports teaching, learning, research and the vision of the university. The library is operational for twelve hours and this facility is extended during the exam period. It has an enormous collection of resources to support all programs under the university. It has a dedicated reading space, discussion rooms, and faculty space, all together with a total seating capacity of more than 2000. The college has 350+ Hi-tech classrooms equipped with smartboards and LCD projectors to facilitate a better understanding of the subject matter. But what brings alive our classrooms are the discussions, presentations and brainstorming our students engage in as they learn in an environment which shapes them holistically.

Admission

The admission process is carried out through MIT WPU Entrance exams. The exam dates and the application fees is not fixed. One can apply on the link , the MIT WPU team will then contact you, the difficulty of the exam is more than MHT-CET and less than JEE mains. There is no reservations provided in the college.

Faculty

4

So, like in the Computer Science and Engineering there are almost 1000 students including AIDS, Cyber security and CSBS. In the whole CSE Dept, there are almost 20 faculties including HOD, Prof, Asst. Prof and Associate Prof., So there is 1:20 faculty to student ratio. Most of the professors are P.Hd in their respective courses related to Computer Science and rest have atleast a Master's Degree. Most of the faculties have deep understanding in their subject and each faculty is ready with any doubt asked to them. The student - teacher bond, I would say is great here, the teachers are ready to address each difficulties the student is facing. The teachers here are more mentors than the faculties.

Focusing on student's attendence rather than focusing on students concepts. College is not focusing in development of students only paperwork is done. No conceptul teaching nor practical. By doing this stuff we can get a btech degree but not the knowledge a btech student should have.
