Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is good, matching with international standards. NEP 2020 is also followed in this campus. As this is matching international standards mean that it is good for future also. Teacher will teach with power point presentations and you have to give power point presentation for internal assessment and monthly test evaluation will be done. Internal examination value is 40% and end semester value is 60%. If you studied well you will score good. Average marking is 8.2 CGPA in department of Biotechnology.
Fees and Financial Aid
PhD application fee is 1000. One time fee is 24628 during PhD admission, rest each semester you have to pay 11750, Course work fee is 800, synopsis submission fee is 1000, thesis submission fee is 2500, provision certificate 500, duration extension fee 750, re registration fee. 5000.
Campus Life
Annual fest is happening in December and all other festival events like Holi, Onam , Pongal, Bihu, Ugadhi celebration is happening inside the campus. During festival season sports match is also happening. Then hostel day celebration with good food, Science and Arts festival. Class room are modern and equipped with latest technology like inbuilt touch screen smart class.
Hostel Facilities
One room is shared by two students. Hostel fee + mess fee for a semester is 19,388 including food and all other amenities. Food quality is average as like as hostel food, you will get chapati in lunch and dinner so this is good thing. Registration process is simple after admission take form from department and take signature of HoD, pay the fee and you will get hostel. As you have to pay 19388 rupees at same time for a semester, it is difficult for most of the students to pay. Many hostels and PG are nearby, Youth hostel is also available.
Admission
Four year B.Sc programme in life science, Biotechnology and related field / M.Sc in Department of Biotechnology or in Life science and related field. You can find application form on university website. Application fee is 1000. Reservation police is according to central government rule. Now admission will be through UGC/CSIR NET category 3 only during October and February month.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 1:2.5, Two faculties in the Department Dr Lata I shukla and Dr. Ranjith Kumawath's relation is not good with students. They are torturing students like hell but other facilities are very good in teaching and with their nature also. Faculties are teaching in world class environment and almost all faculties did their Post-Doctrate from foreign countries.
