Remarks

U can check the cutoffs on websites like collegepravesh. Usually u get cse here till 12000 general rank which is good. For reservation categories this rank goes much higher. Lower branch like material science takes nearly upto 80000 crl

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I think the first year will be a bit tough but the coming years will be as per your branch. First year includes basics of all engineering which is essential for overall growth of an engineer. Apart from that all the clubs and societies have their eyes on the first years. So its always a bit hectic but its upto a student to manage time efficiently

Fees and Financial Aid

Overall tution fees and other costs per semester for general and obc category is approx. 90000 and for sc/st is comes down to 20000 as their tution fees is 0.but families with low annual income can apply for waivers available which will reduce tution fees to 0 and overall semester fees to 35000 for family income less than 1 lakh and gives off 2/3rd of tution fees for family income 1-5 lakhs. Apart from this scholarship are also available.

Campus Life

3.5

2 fests are held in college. Cultural fest named hillfair in month of october and technical fests named nimbus in march-april. Clubs and societies take part in these fests giving people a chance to socialize. Central Library has nearly all required books for academics and journals are also available. Sports is well celebrated and there is well infrastructure for nearly every game.

Hostel Facilities

3

The first year Hostel is provided with lan for internet. Food menu can be decided by children along with there mess secretary and quality of food is also ok-ok. Rest hostels dont have lan till now but it's rumoured that they will get wifi facilities soon.

Faculty

2.5

The facilities are not gonna spoon feed you like school like an average engineering college but will never say no if u reach them with a problem. They are qualified in terms of education and degrees although i dont judge a teacher based on them. You may meet some facilities that are there just to give headaches and low internals but that doesn't put all in that category. If you dont indulge in any unethical activity infront of faculties they dont reduce internals.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.
