Remarks

Yes mess food has to be make good so that new students those come to take admissions old students can say them that mess food is good and teaching faculty should be make good in this good top engineering college, excellent campus very good security for girls and specified libraries everyone has helping nature

Because i have already know about this college my friends and my brothers have referred this college to me as there may be a good replacement in this college and good teaching faculty SO i have come to this college and already my sister two friends have already get placed from this college

Placement Experience

In Chandigarh group of college, the placement is 100%. To grab the placement they also teaches the student an additional course ie. Training for placement programe in this student learn all the things to crack job interview, to develop the good personality. Around 500 companies visit CGC very year

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive because as when we have come for admission they have give us a page with written fee structure of btech Ece even every student has given fee structure that is 47,000 for first semester and 43,000 2nd semester onwards but now they have taken rs 46,000 for 2nd semester

Campus life in cgc landran is very excellent as i know may be cgc landran has a big and beautiful campus than both institute campus chandigarh university and cgc jhanjeri and in gender ratio may be there are 70% boys and 30% girls in the campus labs and sports are really extracurricular they are really very good

Hostel Facilities

What about the hostel facilities and faculty as it is very good when we have to go late night and come at late night back then we have to write a application and about mess food as it is good sometimes but sometimes food is very bad half of the week students order food from online food apps

Alumni/Alumna

Yes alumni Mode of Teaching : The mode of teaching of CGC is nice and conductive. They engage the students in oral and written tests. Accommodation : The college has fine laboratories. There are number of equipments and chemicals in the lab so that each student can perform their own experiments separately. We had designed our own project in our lab during the MSc programme. Seminars, Conferences, Consortium : Our college organises the seminars symposiums about five times per semester. During our course work we attended the International symposium regarding Cancer

Admission

I have got admission directly to this college as i was firstly going to do bpharm in another college in himachal but my brother and friends refer me to do bpharm in cgc landran so i strike to get seat in bpharm in cgc landran but i didn't get due to late admission now i have changed my course from bpharm to btech ECE

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

I like infrasture and the campus facilites most.
Events and fests are also good and orgainsed regularly.
Students get more opportunities here in university.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not good but eatable and enough.
Dresscode is on wednesday that is must to wear.
Massive campus you may face difficulty in roaming.

The curriculum covrs important computer sciemce subject such as programming,DSA, java DBMS,OS and software development.These subjects influenced decisions to choose this course because they provide a stromg foumdation for software engineering . examinations include MST ,EST and assessments .

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

my overall experience at the college has been good so far
the faculty members are generally helpful
campus life is active with various cultural and technologies events

Dislikes

one thing i feel can be improved is the amount of pratical and industry oriented learning
some claases can be more theroy oriented so more hands on activities and pratical sessions would be beneficial
during major events and peak hours the campus become crowded

A Balaced College Experience With Great Campus Life

Likes

i like everthing about the college.
i like the supportive faculty behaviour.
the college also provide placement guidance.

Dislikes

Some areas could be improved especially the placement.
A few courses felt more theory focused than industry oriented.
Student enagement oppourtunities would make campus life better.

I would rate the course around 5 . i choose the courser because it provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and paractical concepts relevant to my career goals as well.

Chandigarh university , but for real

Likes

campus life is absolutely banger and it is great to have friends here
crowd is bonkers , except some local peeps , they'd be behaving weird
major events like freshers and orientation , they bring crazzy artists

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

Placement Experience:

placements of 2.8 cr occured but it was only one , most of the placements packages go under 8 lpa and extra fees has to be paid in order to be eligible for placement drives and that too doen't ensure the placement

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.

Life at CGC Landran

So honestly, I chose CGC Landran mainly because it felt like the most “value for money + safe placement option” out of the colleges I applied to , I had applied to Chandigarh University, Chitkara, Rayat Bahra, and a couple of govt colleges through JEE counseling, and I actually got confirmed admission in CU and Rayat Bahra too, but CGC felt more balanced in terms of fees, crowd, hostel vibe and overall campus life. CU was too crowded and felt a bit like a “factory”, and Chitkara was way too expensive for me, plus their strictness is next-level. I did get rejected from one govt college because my JEE rank wasn’t good enough (my percentile was okay but not that great, only 89%ile), so cutoffs didn’t work in my favour there — basically I messed up my Maths paper. CGC’s admission process was pretty chill: you need to have passed 12th with PCM and a decent percentage, and they accept both JEE Main and non-JEE (direct merit) admissions; most students join through direct merit because JEE cutoff here isn’t very high. Cutoff is not fixed but usually if you have around 70%+ in boards, you’ll get CSE easily in early rounds. The overall admission experience was smooth — counseling, document verification, paying the initial amount, and that’s it. For me, CGC just felt like the right mix of academics, placements, and affordability, so I picked it over the others without overthinking too much....Read More

I choose this college because of the fee structure as this college offered me the CSE stream that I was interested in , in less fees as compared to other colleges of Chandigarh.
