I like the library of the college. They provide all kinds of books
The teachers guides us very nicely. They help us in every way
The teachers always help us whenever necessary

Dislikes

Toilet are not hygienic. They are not cleaned everytime

I have taken English honours. I love literature subject very much that's why I took this courses. I love to read novels and stories. The teachers teaching methods were good they explain us each and every words nicely

In the end of my last semester that means in the end of 6th semester after the exam our HOD and our principal of the college provided us internship and interview with the companies which are very famous companies. The name of the companies are Aditya Birla group , WSF and Assam carbon.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure was 5000 per year. They provide scholarships but I being a general I didn't get any scholarship. In financial way also they support us in admissions like those who in financial problems they can took admission through income certificate

Campus Life

The annual technical festivals names are college week , freshers party and Annual programs and farewell events . The college library is too good they provided every books and journals and newspapers. All are available in the library

Admission

The admission process was nice. We filled up the form in online mode then we went to the college there the teachers guided us through which course we can took and the application fees for the 1st semester was 5000. The area where the admission process was going on was nice too

Faculty

The faculty members are really nice they help us in every possible way whenever necessary. They guides us. The teachers always teach us thoroughly from the books . They provided us a smart room . They interact with us very nicely like family.

My thoughts about my college

Likes

Faculty members of our college is very good
The thing i like that teacher in our college use projector to teach us
In our college, the students get to join various seminars, which college authorities provide us with time to time

Dislikes

The main thing which i disliked about our college is that our college campus is small if you compare it with other colleges
In our college we dont have clean toilets, and the toilets smells very bad
The next thing is that there were various construction going on in our college so for now thr college environment is healthy enough for a student to perform

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i want to appear for civil services examinations in future, so for me political science subject is helpful for my future career, in our department out faculty trach us in a decent manners, but there are some improvements needed with time

I was interested in political and it influenced me set my decision to choose this course. The curriculum was good enough to prepare me for further academics. The frequency and timings of exams are regular. The difficulty of the exams depends on the student's preparations

Likes

I liked the overall environment of our college
My department (Geography) Faculty members are very good.
The teachers not only help in academics but also guide us for our better well-being.

Dislikes

Construction is going on in the college campus.
Though it has gain the autonomous tag still didn't get any such benefit.
The toilets are very unhygienic and have very bad odour.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course is very easy to understand anyone who is new to this branch or doesn't have any idea about geography can easily understand the topics through the guidance of our faculty members. They provide extra classes for better understanding of the students.

When I saw a professor doing the hypnotize process. The curriculum activities are much help to the future or the present generation. For the course curriculum, it is huge so deep explanation is required. No problem in this aspect.

I like the way the teachers of our department interact with us. They are very friendly. The campus is very good. We had sitting place for students to sit and relax when they don't have classes. We had a good playground.
The students of silapathar college are quite wonderful, friendly, helpfull.

Dislikes

Things I don't like about my college is , the principal of our college is quite rude, doesn't interact with the students. He don't even allow to enter to his office.

I choose English literature because I want to study literature, wants to study more about people. In our department there are very few students, 60% are girls and 40% are boys. We had four teachers in our department, namely, DR. PUBALI BORA KASHYAP (Qualification: M.A, Ph.D., UGC- NET), PREM PRASAD SHARMA (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL), Gitima Deka (Qualification: M.A., M.PHIL), Raju Pegu (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL). The teachers take tests continuously.

My name appeared in the first list itself. Then I had secure my admission by completing all the formalities of the admission.

Admission:

For admission, anyone who has passed his/her 10+2 in any stream can apply by going to the online admission portal(website) but at the time of mine, there was no such facility so We use to go college and apply directly by filling the form(paper-based).

Remarks:

Overall, I'd say college is very good. It is one of the finest colleges in the state. I came from elsewhere to study at this college and I don't regret my decision. I made many new friends and now I am used to the environment so it will be difficult for me to leave this place.

The Peaceful journey of a important chapter of life

This college was nearby me so it was easy to travel. Other colleges were very bad in comparison to this college. My academic experience at University Law College, Gauhati University

Before enrolling myself in ULC, GU it tried to get in to Facuty of Law, Delhi University but because of lack of preparation time as I decided to get myself into studying law very late, I could't clear that particular exam and then to seek for other options I found ULC which has a very rich history of a great alumni base including esteemed Jurists and Lawyers around the country. The admission process includes an examination of 100 marks coducted by Gauhati University which tests students knowledge in various aspects including General Knowlege, English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning. The cut off for general category students ranges from around 20 to 30 based on the result of other students. I got through this exam scoring 56 with a rank of 5.
