Likes
- Parul University is a really good college. It lives upto its name. The campus life here is very vibrant. One can never get bored here. Events and other entertainment options are continuously available over here which also helps in social interactions
- The faculty here is also really good. Classes are held regularly and their teaching methods are also good although there is a scope of improvement but still it is not bad
- Placements are good as well. Great companies with good packages visit thi university and you get a good assistance from your faculty for the procedure here. Internship opportunities are also present here.
Dislikes
- Although placements are good here but it can be better. More companies with more higher packages
- Events and entertainment to a certain point is good but not too much I feel. You can find events and stuff happening here continuosly throughout the year. Also they charge you for tickets. Even though it's not too much of an amount but still.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum here includes a lot of things that are important for the outside world. Communication skills are considered very important here. How one can communicate with their clients is taught here. They make you very confident here. The course includes mostly all the important design aspects which are taught by very skillful faculty.
Placement Experience
You get placements here in the final year of UG/PG courses. A high percentage of students get placed here. Highest package is 32 lakh and avg is 15-20 lakhs. I'm personally planning on persuing a master's degree later on. There should be an improvement in this placement category.
Fees and Financial Aid
Annual tuition fees here for a bachelor in design is 2 lakh 25 thousand. Plus 25 thousand for exam fees. There is no hike in tuition fees here but there has been a hike in hostel fees eg., from 1 lakh 20 thousand to 1lakh 27 thousand. One can find many scholarships here. On the basis of 12th marks, there is a discount on tuition fees the for year. People from a defence family background get a defence scholarship applicable in all the years of UG course. You also get internships here in college in different departments with a stipend.
Campus Life
Campus life is very vibrant. You get every possible thing available on the campus. You don't have to go out for anything. You get a gym, swimming pool, 5 food courts, gardens, temple, hospital, sports grounds, open movie theatre, horse riding course and many more
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are okay but can beore better. Food is not good. No proper hot water facility even in winters. Rooms are quite small. Too much restrictions. Wifi doesn't work from 12am-5am. Cleaning happens regularly. Wardens behaviour is not good. Very rude
Admission
The admission process is very simple just fill out the form online and if your course has an entrance exam give that and once you clear the exam you can fill in the fees and that's it. Then you can visit the college as well.
Faculty
The faculty here is very friendly and approachable. You can contact them with your doubts and problems anytime. They make you really comfortable. You can contact them for your professional as well as personal problems. Number of faculty isbalso really good. Faculty here is from top design colleges like NID. Infact the dean for design department is herself from NIFT.
