Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite updated but it not as good and gets hectic for the student. So self study is necessary by all means. They give too little time between the exams not even 1 day gap is provided
Internships Opportunities
A lot internship opportunities are available one can get them based on their skill set and it doesn't just have to be coding or tech related. I have got a internship as a graphic designer in Kiit digital which pays me 5000 per month and it's a really good work environment.
Placement Experience
Placement are good but if you see the fees and then see the placements it's subpar at best, one is spending 20lakhs just to get avg package of 6lakhs. Companies like high radius, Deloitte, TCS recruit most of the students. Few brilliant student get placed in Amazon, autodesk and adobe. They claim 100% placements but reality is less than 50% people get their desired placements. My plans after degree is to crack gate and go for higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
They do not increase the tuition fees. However they do so with the hostel fees and it's ridiculous. The complete cost of education comes to around 20lakhs. And they do ask you to register for every end sem exam, which costs 1000 for all subjects. Scholarship opportunities are provided based on the KIITEE results. I do have an internship as a graphic designer in Kiit digital and the stipend is okay aswell.
Campus Life
The campus life one of the best parts of this college. There are amazing societies and clubs present that one can join. I joined kreative eye for my interest in graphic design. The library is very spectacular with all the books in the world. One can borrow books from the library using their id card. The classrooms are well equipped and have projectors and smart tvs. All the societies are student run and they manage is very well. The fests to look out for are kittfest and Kiit MUN they're very good and provide a great socialising atmosphere.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are subpar at best. The wardens are unfriendly to non Odia people and they do not wanna help you at all. The food is very subpar, cleanliness is the last thing in their mind. And seeing these factors I don't think they should be charging 1.2 lakhs per year and mess charges are 45000 per year and the food is just disappointing.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is not that hard to meet. You just have to pass class 12th given you've passed class 10th. There's very less benefits for reservations so I think they treat everyone equally. Again the frequency of the exams is very high and it's not that difficult if you are in touch with your studies but again the frequency should be lower, they don't even provide gaps between the exams
Faculty
The faculty is very good and well educated. Most of them have dones masters from IITs and some from even top tier foreign universities. And interacting part is very easy and can be done anytime you like. You can give them a visit in their chamber or ask after class.
