KIIT UNIVERSITY: A DETAILED EXPERIENCE

The college will help you grow independently.it provides scope for improvement great campus life 4 years are going to be a roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs.

I sat for KIITEE(ENTRANCE EXAM) with 8085 rank Jee mains and Wbjee didn't help me with great ranks so i went for this college. The counselling process was easy. I had to pay 65k out of which laptop and books were included. The seat booking was pretty easy. every process is detailed in the college itself. I wanted to opt for this course because i was interested in this course but its pretty hard to get streams like computer science and ETC.

The course curriculum is updated according to AICTE AND UGC. It is majorly theory based as is the structure in almost all colleges in India. The labs are great with great equipment So the research and practical purpose is well served.

The internship is provided at internship fair hosted by the college every year. Big as well as small companies offer internships worth 2000 to 3000 on an average per month

Placements are above for CSE,IT and electronics. For the core streams, it is not very good some core companies are visiting but taking very selected students with not very high packages(3.6lpa average). Mass recruiters like accenture, wipro, infosys take majority of the students no matter which stream.

KIIT FEST IS a major fest in the east zone. All the major fests are organised now and then.cultural fests and sports fests are also done regularly.major inter university fests are held too.music dance theater all have societies and there is a separate student activity center for these activities.

Now it is around 2 lakh per sem including tuition ,hostel and mess.it is for non ac hostel with 3 bed.for ac it is expensive.so around 16 lakh is what is going to cost you for the 4 years.it is expensive compared to a few colleges but the placements make it worth it.

Hdfc bank and Allahabad Bank has tie up with the college for student loans. No scholarships. But if you are branch topper then u get 12000 rupees as stipend every sem.

Campus life is cosmopolitan, vibrant.Sports has great facilities.Lots of gyms and facilities for sports and fitness wellness industries. The gender ratio is pretty equal. All religions are allowed to exist peacefully and all religious festivals are held equally in college.

Hostels are fully wifi enabled.3 bed rooms are averagely spacious, well furnished, clean hostels.Clean toilets are cleaned regularly.the hostel timings for boys is 8 pm and 7 pm for girls.there is biometric in every hostel. The hostel costs 23000 and mess 18000.

Alumni meets are held after few years by the college itself. Seniors and juniors are well connected and have lots of great interactions together. social media helps everybody keep in touch.

Exams are divided:Sem paper has 60 marks Mid sem 25 marks Internals 15 marks. On an average, all sems have approx 6 papers. There are quite a few assignments to be done which can be hectic at times. Labs are also pretty strict.so you have to attend all classes to secure good marks.

There is a counselling where you book a seat for yourself according to your rank in the specified branch you opted for.But only if seats are left in that branch. I had a rank of 8085 which can get you pretty much all the streams except for CSE,ETC AND MECHANICAL. The counselling of boys and girls are done separately.

Faculty is mediocre some are great teachers whereas some new faculties have less experience.overall they are atleast M.tech qualified from major NITs and IITs. They are very helpful and provide us important notes before exams and always clear doubts 24 *7
