Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum has been designed by MAKAUT(formerly West Bengal University of Technology) and caters to current requirements of technical education as well as builds a firm foundation for higher studies and research related work. An equal balance of practical as well as theoretical knowledge has been kept in mind.
Internships Opportunities
Internship is a very essential part of a technical education. The faculty members help students secure an internship in NIT Durgapur(one of the primier colleges in India) as well as their industry connections help student get an industry exposure.
Placement Experience
College has maintained a very impressive placement record over the years. The placement success is reflected from the college web site which clerarly shows the companies visiting each year.In my batch alone TCS(3.3 LPA),TECH MAHINDRA(2.4 LPA),WIPRO,INDIAN NAVY and several other companies visited on campus.
College Events
To make the college life memorable as well as learning there are technical as well cultural fests in the college. The tech fest(Horizon 2k16) is organised to recognize the brightest minds in college whereas the cultural fests are more of a chill out and gives a podium for students to showcase their singing and dancing talents.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is affordable . The per semester fee is 39000 for day scholars whereas 64000 for hostel students. There are attractive schemes like TFW quota to help the financially weak students. There are also schemes for scholarships. The fee structure bears the academic books cost and the students need not buy it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes the college provides scholarships and loan facilities. As far as I remember there is a TFW scheme which is for financially weak candidates. All the facilities can be enquired easily by calling the college authorities.
Campus Life
There are a lot of activities going on in the college thought the year. Right from badminton, chess, football, cricket competitions to android ,robotics workshops are organised frequently. Debates, Best Business ideas are organised during the tech fest in college.
Hostel Facilities
Boys and girls have separate hostels with a lot of facilities. There is a separate hostel for first year candidates and so there is no fear for ragging. The hostels have mess facilities and the quality of food is standard. The rooms are shared between 2 or 3 candidates depending on availability.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students have always been helpful and the best guide in these 4 years Maintaining a healthy relationship is one of the most important part of college life. Right from getting prepared for your campus interviews to pull you out of any sort of troubles, the seniors are always there.
Exam Structure
The exams structure has been designed in such a way so that the students are not over burdened by exam pressure. Study leaves and gaps in between the exams help students from taking too much pressure during the last days. The invigilation is very strict and any form of malpractice is not allowed.
Faculty
The faculty is experienced,helping and efficient. The teaching is in a friendly manner. Teachers try to keep the topic as interesting as possible. The faculty members encourage project works. When in doubt or a problem we can directly approach the teachers and they would be more than happy to help.
