Department of optometry provides us the base to develop as a better professional. It gives us the scope of holistic developments besides providing jobs of a different organization.

The course curriculum is based on “ outcome-based learning” and is oriented towards eye care requirements. This makes us ready for eye care hospitals and through studying the history of about patients gives us a practical exposure into the hospital working. The exam structure exposure into the hospital also gives us an in-depth understanding of the requirement in the hospitals.

Students of the department of optometry are placed approx diverse hospital and optical field from optometrist to academicians based services geographically students are placed across the length And breadth of the country as well as in major metro cities also. Some trend is also observed in internship wherein students have been sent for an internship in best hospitals.

We have several events happening throughout the year wherein we get a chance to meet the department head of hospitals as well as doctors and eminent optometrist and seniors from reputed hospitals of the country. This one in the form of seminars and conferences wherein faculties also present research papers which are review. Apart from this, there are many cultural programs which are organized by the optometry department wherein we get a chance to meet the members of our alumni and get a hands-on experience about the eye care field also.

the fee structure of college in quite reasonable and it is inclusive of the lab works and expenses for internship as well as project works. Approximate the course fee for the first year in INR 60,000 which includes the observed facilities as well as college tuition fees and library charges. The library and the labs are quietly addicted to meet the requirements of our study and hence no extra expenses are incurred in this regard.

The college provides scholarship to meritorious students on their percentage of marks secured in the last major examination. Asha jyoti is one such scholar which is provided by the college in this regard. As regards to the educational loan, the college has tie-up which certain banks who provide those educational loans after fulfilling certain basic criteria, which minimum documentation on a very prompt basis.

Science Model competition - students are made to appear for a competition with science models developed by them. Students are then judged according to the models and are awarded. Science Model Exhibition - the various science models which are good and awarded are displayed to encourage other students to do the same. Students from other colleges are also made to attend the events. APOS, free eye check up the campus, world optometry day, Debugging. Cultural Fest. Campus life comprises of gaming including football, cricket, basketball, volleyball. Every year, we have a national sports championship. Campus life also includes extracurricular activities under Tech Fest, Cultural Fest.

The department of optometry provides us the scope to meet our alumni a couple of time during the academic year. This provides us a platform to interact and build a network which on a later stage helps us in better job placements. The senior students are quite helpful and are willing to provide employment scope for the junior students.

After filling up the application form shortlisted candidates were called by the college for personal interview, personal interview consisted of questions about academics of 10 as well as 10+2 final exam, to such a question to prove for selecting optometry as a field of study,the interview also check upon the knowledge of the campus about optometry and related health science areas, on completion on interview the name of the final candidates who were selected declarer.

The faculty of our college is helpful and cooperative besides, they provide our in-depth understanding of the eye care department requirements by assigning practical project works which ultimately makes us hospitals and optical field ready. The faculty also help us in personal development and grooms us in golf skills which helps us in cracking job interviews.
