Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As i was a student with commerce background. Although i wanted to pursue bcom hons but due to my cuet score i got alloted bcom program which is fair enough .my score for cuet was 743 and i was of general category. I would suggest that the subjects like financial management and business statistics should have been more practical which is already applicable in our college. So exams are conducted twice a year 1st in dec jan and second in april and june

Fees and Financial Aid

So as i am pursuing b.com program. The fee structure differs for every program. My 1st year fee which i paid was 33,700 p.a and in my second year i will be paying around 32000..and although i am not that aware about the third year but it may be around 30000. For science courses the fee may be around 35k or something and ba program would be around 27 or 28k So scholarships provided are given as a notice to the students timely. There is no such special scholarship . Every fees is included in the fee structure mentioned above.

Campus Life

3.5

Drc organizes an annual fest called manjari every year..and invites a well renewed and known singer in feb and march because its the fest season for all the delhi university students. There are alot of societies in our college which are very active and yeah we also have our diwali fest known as jalsa ..so almost every society is active and have a empowering environment..i am part of gaee drc as a digital team member. And i can say joining these clubs and society honed my skills and communication very well. Sports are also active in our college like indoor as well as outdoor games

Admission

So according to the process of allotment of university of delhi..first you have to give your cuet exam to get a seat in university of delhi at csas portal ..after the result you have to fill a preference list of the colleges of du and then according to your score and preference list you would be alloted a college. The college allotment is done in 3 phases. Round 1 in which you are alloted a seat only if you have cleared the cut off of the college and then by paying fees you have to freeze your seat and then if u wish to upgrade you can in other 2 rounds. You can also get admission through eca quota or ncc and all. So for bcom program the cut off for drc would be 730 to 745 around.for general category 650 around for obc and 500 around for sc/st category

Faculty

4.5

So coming to the faculty members of our college..i can tell about the commerce department they are extremely helpful and yeah easily approachable.you can email the coordinator for any query or can even text them on whatsapp..they dont bother that much.commerce department faculty is absolutely friendly and helpful. So there are total 7 subjects which u need to study the core and sec vac aec ge and some vac and sec dont have theory exams so the exams are conducted accordingly. And the exams are mostly based on pyqs so prepare them well and u can score above 8 cgpa easily.

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

In the context of a fictional scenario, the placement scenario would depend on the specific college within Delhi University. Some colleges have robust placement cells that facilitate campus placements with various companies. The placement scenario can vary, and it's advisable to check with the specific college for accurate and up-to-date information.
