Course Curriculum Overview

Practicals in labs are the ones that teach real-world applications. I think the course curriculum is good; there is no need to change it. The frequency and timing of exams are also good and exams are moderate level

BNY- 30k per month Morgan Stanley - 80k per month Newest - 30k per month Gsoc - 1.25lakh per month Development based projects And there are many more companies that visit every year in my college for internship opportunities with good stipend

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students are eligible for placements. Companies visited-google, Oracle, BNY, Cloudera,Increff, Alstom,technip and many more. Highest package-1.51cr AVG package - 10-12lpa Percentage of students getting placement - 70 I want to join a reputed company as a software developer.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying 87000/- yearly which includes Tuition fees are 0, caution fees are 0, registration fees are 27000, development fees are 0, lab fees are 0, and hostel fees are 60000/- yearly. For other categories than me, fees- 152000/- And I am not taking any scholarship. Scholarship available for students—NSP 125000/- per year, but I was not eligible.

Campus Life

Annual fest - Hill'fait in October Technical fest- Nimbus in February There are over 1.5 lakhs books in library you can access any. Classroom are good. There are interbranch and intercollege matches. There are more than 20 clubs in college.

Hostel Facilities

I'm in a singlet room there is one table,one bed, one almirah and one chair. Mess menu is quiet good. Fruits and milk are served on daily basis in breakfast and sweets are also offered in dinner. Hostel rooms are alloted based on CGPI.

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

I applied computer science and engineering branch for this college only and I got electrical engineering branch due to my ranking in jee main exam. I chose this college because of its beautiful and stunning campus. Students who cracked JEE main exam get the admission in my college based on their rank. For admission there is Josaa counselling

Faculty

4.5

Faculty to student ratio is 1:6 and relationship of student and faculty is good we can anytime approach any faculty. I like Sushil chouhan sir because he teach power system and I love his teaching way. There is no faculty that I don't like. There are two exams mid semester and end semester per semester and there are 2 semester in a year. Approx 5-10 students fail to clear the exam. Course curriculum is same as all other engineering colleges.

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Campus is very good and nice view from college

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation.
