PU..the best university

Econometrics to advanced level which is full of statistics made me to choose this course.. In the world of financial market..it is very important to learn statistics analysis..and this course will make you up to the Mark till the completion of 2nd year. Smart teaching can be introduced which has not arrived yet... There are two exams in every 6 months with moderate difficulty level.

HDFC, ICICI, indiabulls, and many other banking and financial companies come and offer the role of analyst to the economics department University provides job but not internship. In job projects would be to perform analysis through SPSS which we studied in econometrics to know the market through analysing the data provided by sample survey.

Students become eligible in final year for placement.icici, HDFC,and many other banking company visited..there were around 20-30 companies. Highest package of 7-8 lacs and average is 400000..40 percent students get placement... I am working with a financial and marketing company in gurugram.

I have paid around 20000 fees for one year . Fee Structure for all categories except SC (Punjab): First installment of admission fee for candidates with a qualifying degree from Panjab University rs 10675. Admission fee along with migration and registration fees for students who have completed their previous education outside of Panjab University: ?12,775. Fee Structure for SC (Punjab) students: (a) SC students from Punjab with an annual income below ?2.50 lakh are required to pay an admission fee of rs 295. SC students from Punjab with an annual income below 250000, who have completed their previous studies from institutions other than Panjab University, need to pay an admission fee of rs 2,395 (this includes the Admission Fee, Migration Fee, and Registration Fee). Panjab University does not offer any management seats.all addmissions are done on merit basis I took admission on defence quota .there is no scholarship or reduction in fees for defence quota.. Every department of university conducts their own fests ...and there are 2-3 annual fests which are being conducted every year. Youth fest is famous of all..others are cyanide and etc. physical education department is very much involved in sports...and encourage students to be part of the sports. There are a lot of social groups and clubs handled by NSS where students go to villages to teach uncouth society about the importance of education and hygiene.

I applied to chitkara University and Chandigarh University and panjab University...I got addmission in all three..I chose PU because it's a state affiliated university with minimal fees and maximum exposure with good quality education. I got addmission in all three which I applied to. Pu takes admission on merit basis earlier but now it has started the entrance examination process. You have to get above 80% to get into main campus. And 75% attendance is compulsory to sit in final exams ... You have to get total 50% marks in mid sems in order to sit in final exam...overall admission process is smooth and completely online

8:1 is faculty student ratio. Faculty to students relationship is very friendly and vice versa ... students can go to the department for any query..and their queries are resolved in a very friendly manner. Sp padhi sir ..best professor and all professors were good...you won't find any complaint. There are 2 exams per semester... first is mid sem and other is final exam...70-80% clear exam ...course is very relevant as it will help you practically in getting jobs ..
