Course curriculum is good they don't teach unnecessary subjects. Courses are to the point and relevant in all terms of our placement uses. Subjects like DSA and DAA are taught s very nicely for better understanding of complex subjects which are really helpful in college placements.

Internship opportunities are good if you are also working hard for it. If you are targeting interships then there are a lot of opportunities and sources via which you can do internship. But you have to work hard for it and you have to prepare to that level. In 8th semester it is compulsory for students to do internship via college or via off campus. Otherwise you can do a project under thapar only if you don't get any internship.

Placement is the only reason due to which I am in thapar. Placement are great. As this year placements started 1 month ago and nearly about 400 students are already placed with great packages like 18 LPA , 22 LPA.

Per Semester fees 216200 It increases by 10% every year Hostel fees is 54500 Mess fees is 22400 You can get scholarship if you have great percentile in jee on merit basis in college itself upto 100% scholarship. And later if you score good cgpa like over 9.3 then you can continue your scholarship.

Social life is really great at thapar if you are not an introvert like me. There are a lot of clubs and societies which are active throughout the year and events are also a lot and amazing. Saturlania is a fest which is really amazing and also its budget is like over 50 lakhs. Artists like gajendra verma , mohit Chauhan also performed in the saturlania. Thapar food fest is also a great fest in which all food outlets come and serve like starbucks , dominos , etc. Infrastructure is the main key point of thapar as they have invested a lot in infrastructure providing AC facilated classes , labs and hostels.

Hostel facilities are really amazing. Hostels have 2 seater , single seater , 4 seater options. Hostel rooms are facilitated with proper AC , wifi , fully equipped gyms , table tennis tables , carrom in common rooms. Mess facilities are also very good sponsered by pseudexo. Large mess area. Hostel fees depends on your hostel type and room type like single , double , four seater. I am currently in 2 seater which costs me around 56500. Mess fees is almost 22400 for all the hostels. Hostel M is the most beautiful and facilitated hostel with a capacity of over 3000 students.

I chose thapar because of its good average placements. Thapar provides great placement and their name value is also really good if you want to study in foreign in future. And a very large campus area for Students to enjoy and chill and other facilities like labs are really good, sports facilities are also good. Overall thapar is not an IIT but near about some IIT's experience.

Faculties are really amazing they are experienced and teaching style is also modern. They use smart boards for better understanding and teachers here are very much cooperative and overall good. Marking scheme in a semester consists of 4 main test. Which includes mid semester tests of 30 marks , end semester tests of 40 marks , lab evalve of 15 marks and quiz of 15 marks.
