Losts of Free time as on most days classes end at 1pm
Campus is beautiful ad its in the moutains.
Climate is good and temperature is lower.

Dislikes

Syllabus is outdate like most colleges have.
Not enough freedom given to 1st year student .. a bit of ragging too.

Course Curriculum Overview

Ece probably is the next best choice after Cs some may argue its even better. Real world skills are not taught. Teachering methods are outdated and could use some style from youtube itself! Exams are one every 2-3 months are mid level.

Placement Experience

3rd year students can go for placements. I dont know companies that came last year... but a friend of mine's brother got placement in Oracle as he qualified for Gshock. Your cgpa needs to be greater than 7 to get placed i believe.

Fees and Financial Aid

10000 total per year all data for Gen-EWS including hostel fees. Tution fee is arround 30000 PER SEM. Hostel fees is exactly 40000 per year. For Gen its tution is different and hostel is same. Around 60k per sem

Campus Life

Campus is beautiful as its in the mountains for himachal pradesh in hamirpur. Many tech festivals are held many tech societies are here which are affiliated to IIT mandi too. Sports ,karrate and gym is also present.

Hostel Facilities

40000 per year for hostel is same for all student regardless of their category. Hostel food is good compared to others. Rooms and bathrooms are bit old. Rooms have ethernet and there is free 1gb jio wifi available for each day for everyone.

Admission

I applied to DTU for ECE but was getting nothing good in JAC delhi counseling...So i preferred nith from jossa. Nith is only available from JOSSA counseling after of course the JEE main exams.. you need to score pass the cutoff.

Faculty

faculty-to-student ratio is bad as its 1:90 or sometimes 1:100 even! Most facilities are chill like CS ones... but core subject ones are little strict like maths and Ece. Exams are medium level there are mid sem and final exams.

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Campus is very good and nice view from college

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment.
