Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is no 100% up to point but still is a good curriculum I will . Subjects like environmental science helps to sknow about climate change and how to deal with it. Engineering Drawing on the other hand is just completely rubbish I don't like it's and it's useless.

Internships Opportunities

4

NIT Hamirpur sends invitations to companies for internship programs with database of students The companies then shortlist students according to their requirements and give them internship for the aimed periods

Placement Experience

4

The highest package in my college was Rupees 1.73 Crore Per Annum in 2023 in CS and average was 12 Lakhs Per Annum in CSE. Almost 80% students get placed in my college. My plans after getting a degree would be to pursue higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid Rupess 38500 fees for registration in NIT Hamirpur, and Rupees 40000 for hostel . General candidates have to pay 80000 for registration and hostel fees are same. There is scholarship on basis of category and financial basis

Campus Life

4

There are mainly 2 fests held in my college one is cultural fest called HillFair and other is tech fest called NIMBUS. There are all kinds of books available in the library which anyone would require according to their needs. The sports infrastructure is also good as almost every sport has its own ground and courts.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facilities u get are wifi,LAN, badminton courts and Table Tennis Courts. The mess food is also eatable not so bad it is on a good side. U have to fill seperate forms for hostel allotment and it is quite affordable.

Admission

The Criteria to join my college was to give JEE Mains and secure a good rank. I chooses my college over others as it was within my state so it was close to my home. I applied for other NITs but got branches with which I was not satisfied.

Faculty

4.5

There are sufficient number of faculty for students. The relation between students and faculty is also supportive. I personally liked my maths and chemistry faculty for their good humour and understanding of feelings of students. In particular there is no faculty I didn't like As far the exam I will be giving my mid semester in a month. The cource curriculum is not that much relevant as some subjects I find are not much useful for a cs student like me

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.
