Course Curriculum Overview
I am interested to deal with computer systems and software technologies. So i thought BTech CSE would be the best cource to address this desire. The curriculum practically prepares you for entry level jobs, to get jobs with lucrative packages you need to earn skills on your own outside of the college's curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Various paid and unpaid internships are offered here. I do not know exactly the details as i am a first year student. But there are many scam internships whose advertisements are given in the college email id which should be avoided
Placement Experience
More than 500 companies visit KIIT. Most of which are IT companies. Highest package of 2024 is 53lpa and of 2023 is 63lpa. The average package of cse is 7-8LPA. In 2024 there was a reduction in placement percentage.
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees for CSE Btech is 16Lakh for 4years. This means 2lakh per sem. One time fees of 75k is to be paid which include laptop and counselling fees. Fees waiver is avaiabler for EWS. Scholarship is given to the first 1000 rank holders of KIITEE exam.
Campus Life
Multiple fests, hacklathons, tech events are held ocassionally every year. There's a central library for all branches, also there's a library for each department. There's an online library too. The classroom facilities and tech is excellent. Wifi is Available to all students in the whole campus and hostels. The sports facilities are world class. There are multiples clubs in the college
Hostel Facilities
The hostel rooms are quite good but the fees are on a little higher side. They provide with new Mattress, pillow, 2bedsheets, bedsheet and pillow cover, bucket mug, cupboard, chair and table. The mess food sucks its really not upto the mark.
Admission
I applied for various other colleges like VIT , Heritage institute of technology, IEM Kolkata, and many other colleges of Kolkata. I didn't get cse at vit vellore so the best option with me was KIIT. The admission procedure in KIIT involves an exam called KIITEE which is quite easy than JEE mains. You will get your branch in accordingly with your percentile.
Faculty
The facultys to student ratio is good. There's one mentor for 30students whom you can approach for any problems of doubts regarding anything starting from curriculum to course to hostels. The sports facilities are the best here, you will get world class stadiums, arenas and coaches for mors than 20 types of sports. The infrastructure is also quite good with a fully air-conditioned campus (interiors). There are various types of assessment processes which includes mid sem exams, semester exams, quizzes, class performance and interaction, 75% attendance in each subject, assignments, projects. The course curriculum is okay according to Indian standard.
