Course Curriculum Overview
See there are many things which could affect the curriculum structure. Our curriculum is made seamlessly easy as compared to other colleges. It is more like a practical oriented approach. Whatever we study, we apply that on the projects and get marks. Its that simple.
Internships Opportunities
We have many internships and project internships offered by the University itself. We can take up that and get a stipend of 5-10k per month. If not that, there are foreign internships that the University offers which are on Taiwan, Germany, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, USA, Canada, Switzerland and Singapore. There are University which are in mou with our University who offers us internship. These are fully paid internships.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good. 85% of them get placed every year. 10% get into their startups or family business. 5% of them go for their higher studies. Many MNC have visited our University for placement drives. The highest package this year was 15lpa in EEE(as of 16 sep 2024) and the lowest was 4lpa. The placements starts from 7th sem. And I'm planning to get with higher studies in Germany
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a good seat availablity. And the fees structure increases by 5k per year for the freshers. My fees was 105000 for btech EEE. There are various scholarships available which the University shares through the mail, appraising the students to apply for it and avail benefits.
Campus Life
To be honest, this is the best part of my life. We are given an ocean of opportunities, we are enjoying as well as pursuing our degree. That fear of loosing out isn't there, we have a lot of clubs and opportunities to cope up. And not to mention the biggest fests that happen at our university, that's one of the best things. Apart from this, there are 3 dedicated libraries with ample of books, journals and what nott. All these are accessible online as well. And the entire University have wifi connection, so u can have the access of internet at ur fingertips. And there are many tie ups with foreign universities where we get sem exchange, master provision, etc etc To sum up, presidency University is really doing great for us; the students. And it is expanding day by day
Admission
The first one being the fees. Our University provides a transparent fees structure, and easy emi and no cost emi as well. And the opportunities that I was promised during the admission was fulfilled. I have got more of what I had invested. Be that funds for my projects, support for competition, travel, etc etc are all governed by my University. And the cutoffs are easy to tackle too.
Faculty
There is a student to faculty ratio of 50:1. But there is an mentoring program where there is a student to faculty ratio of 20:1. Considering this, faculty and student ratio is quite good. 90% of the facilities are good and understanding. Where's there's this 10% of the facilities who purposely fail the students, punish them without any reason, steal their ideas and apply for patients, and all the other ill practices. We can't raise our voices, cuz they try to supress from every end. So we just move on. And the examinations are quite simple. One mid term and one end term per semester. Exams are quite crackable. 10% of the students fail per sem due to obvious reason. But they could make that up by the re-exams. And the curriculum follows the Karnataka board
