Master of Urban Planning is a course which provides an in depth knowledge of the planning of cities, town, and urban areas with the knowledge of the built environment, including air, water, and the infrastructure passing into and out of urban areas.
Placement opportunities may vary from the private and corporate sectors to the government city and urban development authorities.
There are total fees charged by the university 7.56 lacs for the whole course. You can choose to pay fees on a semester basis i.e. Rs 1,89,000 per semester.
The scholarship is grouped in different categories like there is a means scholarship for those students whose family's annual income is less than 10 lacs and different scholarships for females.
Campus life is easy and very much fun are there living in the hostel and everyone supports each other and help in studies and other things.
The admission process is simple and easy yet because you have to only qualify an entrance exam conducted by the CEPT university and submit the document for eligibility checking and qualifying the GD/PI round, you get the admission.
As I was already doing my Bachelor's in Urban Planning from the same University so I had already planned that I will continue my Masters in Urban Planning from the same University.
Placement is well here because the Training and Placement department is having good relations with the industries and as well as with the alumni. Reliance Industries Limited, Feedback Infra, Urban Mass Transit Company Limited, Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board etc are the main recruiters.
As I had already so much interest in planning and architecture so I completed my B.Arch from Chandigarh College of Engineering and I was in the search of a good planning college and came across to this college and took admission.
Placement and Internship both the opportunities here are awesome and I got the opportunity to work in the CEPT Research & Development Foundation itself then got placed in HCP Design, Planning & Management Pvt.Ltd. as a planner.
For admission, I cleared the entrance test conducted by the University, it is known as the CEPT University Entrance Test. After clearing the entrance test, I cleared GD/PI and got the admission.
There are many placement opportunities for the planning students because every private and government organization which deals in real estate needs a planner who can plan the whole city.
Overall this university is a very good university in everything. Every program is here taught with practical knowledge. Both the teaching and nonteaching faculties are very supportive and helpful.
After clearing the entrance test conducted by CEPT University, I went for checking the marks of the previous degree so that they can allow me for the GD/PI, after clearing the same I got the admission.
Planning a city may be a tough task for normal people but the course I pursued makes it a very easy task like a child is planning everything. I pursued the Master of Urban and Reginal Planning with a major specialization in Transportation planning.
Placement is good and it provides to get chances with well known firms or organizations after the completion of course. it may also provide the worthy payment of salary score. Many collateral institution and organizations come and give the chances to obtain the worthy and good salary job opportunity.
The subjects are so good and relevant to the course. Practical works are also focused parallel to theory. Extracurricular and non-technical events are also being done.
