Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I would rate it 10, cause here everything is concept oriented. We cannot byheart anything and wnrite the exam, cause even if we do so, those questions will not come in the exams. Until and unless we are crystal clear with the concept we cannot write the exam. The curriculum really prepare us strong in this competitive world, our basics will be strong, unlike other colleges, we will not have certain notes and important questions so we can mug up them and write the exam. Here only if we know the concept we can attempt the question. I don't think there should be any improvements in the course. We will have one mid semister and an end semister. The semister is of 4 months approx and they conduct exams accordingly.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I don't have any experience in internship cause I am still a second year student. People get internship in their 3rd year. But I asked my seniors about this. They told me that there will be some online exams for it and people who gets through them can get into companies for intership and after college they directly take them into the company without any other interviews.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements here are very good. I heard from seniors that almost everyone who sits for the placements here get placed. The only thing is we should have good cgpa and technical skills and soft skills and also good coding skills for the people who wanna join IT sector. Famous companies like google, amazon come here every year and there are plenty oppurtiunites to prove ourselves. The people who wanna opt for higher studies can write GATE exam and study their post graduation and PHD in their desired colleges. From 5th and 6th semister students people get placement oppourtunities. Almost every company visits this college as this is tier 1 college. My plans after getting a degree is, I will opt for higher studies and PHD

Fees and Financial Aid

Generally as a reservation candidate the fee structure is less than that of a general candidate. The semister fees may vary between 12000 to 20000 accordingly for every semister. For general candidates it may vary between 30000 to 50000. For hostel fee, starting we paid 50000 and then for the next semister it reduced to 35000 approx for every semister

Campus Life

4.5

Here are many technical clubs like robotics and makimg of electronic devices and vehicles. And cultural clubs for dance, music, drama, arts etc.. Here we celebrate every festival from all over India cause we are from different states of India. The infrastructure of this college is quite old and the classrooms were not that good but the lab facilities here are excellent. Here we celebrate the south India's biggest technical fest called Thathva. It's a technical and a cultural fest. We get to improve our knowledge and upgrade our skills by participating in this Here there are quite a number of sports like basketball and volley ball etc.. Even students go to competetions from our college. Here joining in clubs increases our friends circle, improves our knolwedge and technical skills and team work

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities here are good. We are provided with a cot, table and chair. Decent rooms and clean washrooms. Wifi facilities here at hostels are very bad. And about meals, we can opt to any mess we want according to our taste and eating habits. Food provided here is of decent quality. Registration of hostels is done by our hostels app nitc and these hostels are affordable

Admission

Ofcourse this is a tier 1 college in India and people shed tears and blood to get into this. Usually people get admittied in this college through JEE mains. And to get qualify in it people have to work very hard sacrificing joy, sleep, friends etc... Than other colleges this is some what better, cause it is very hard to even qualify for the cutoff of this college, it is hard to get in. I applied for NIT shibpur cause that college has a top ranking for research. But than any other colleges this college seemed better to me based on any aspect. Yes I got a rejection for other college which I have applied to cause their cut off percentage is higher than this college, so it's hard to enter into them like NIT warangal and NIT trichy in which I did not got selected due to their high cut off ranks. Admission is through JEE, and we come through JOSSA, people come here for higher studies through GATE also. Eligibility is to get the cut off percentage that every year changes.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty here are very experienced and talented, every one holds atleast one PHD or more. There knowledge is divine. The only thing we should do is extract thier knowledge in which they are always eager to share with us. And about the exams, there is no particular structure, every semister they decide and change it and about the question paper, we cannot predict it, the professors prepare it how they feel like giving it. Previous years qiestions will mot repeatz atoeast a single question won't repeat. Faculty will not teach us everything, they just teach relevant to the syllabus, it is we who should self prepare by ourself refering to the textbooks that are avaliable in the library

Other Applied Colleges

NIT Shibpur | Electrical Engineering

The NIRF ranking of my college is better than this college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
