Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose chemical engineering because of the gender ratio in this branch. The curriculum here is old fashioned and not upto date. The teaching methods are also old school. The exams happen the way they happen in every college.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

You get chance to get an internship in third year. There are opportunities for both paid and unpaid internships. I don't know much about them but I know through my seniors that internship opportunities here are great.

Placement Experience

4

I have information about my branch only.Last year the average package was 8.24 lakhs and highest package was 24 lakhs. The placement was greater than 95%. The placement in chemical engineering is pretty decent. Many core companies and tech companies come here for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees Structure is as follows: Tution fees per semester is 62500(for annual income over 500000) Tution fees per semester is 41600(for annual income between 300000-500000) Tution fees per semester is 20800(for annual income below 300000)i.e. for ews candidates Hostel and mess fees is 40000 There are total 8 semesters.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is in belly of Himachal Pradesh. In the ranges of mountains. It is beyond beautiful. The Library is very big and there is various variety of books. There is a club for any hobbie you have. There is a main ground and a student activity centre for sports.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel rooms are below average. The bathrooms are mostly dirty and with brocken sanitary ware. Meal quality is also below average. And attitude of mess workers is pretty bad. The hostel rules are also very strict.

Admission

I took this college because this is in my home state. And the truth is I couldn't get into another nit.I blundered in my jee Mains exam. But I don't regret taking admission here.I made good friends here.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty here is on neutral side. The faculty students relationship here is pretty good. The exam system is as follows: 20%Internals 30%Mid sems 50%End seems The exam level is moderate But it depends more on your difficulty of syllabus

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.
