Remarks

Positive is that college faculties are the very strict and negative point is that sometimes it feels like rules of school which has to be followed.

Merit List

Course Curriculum Overview

4

BCom Hons course is similar to subjects in CA. In this, there are many subjects and all subjects taught us very deeply. The exam structure is also not very easy but competitive and scoring good marks is not so easy like one night study.

Internships Opportunities

Placements and job opportunities are good but not so easy as our college are mainly for science subjects college. There is only one commerce course so very few but big organizations came for placements.

College Events

3.5

"Tryst" is our annual college fest in which Celebrity has come. Last year B. Praak (one of the best Punjabi singer) has come and "fledgling" is our commerce departmental fest in which many competitions have been organized for every Delhi University's college student.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible. B. Com Hons annual fees are approx rs.10,000 in which examination fees have been included. Apart from this, no other fees have been charged so Delhi University's college fees are feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

There has not been any loan facility or scholarship. As fees are very feasible that no one needs a loan or any fee scholarship for study apart from this small scholarship in the form of a Prize given to academic toppers.

Campus Life

4

ECA is good and labs are also in very good condition. There are many labs like BMS lab, commerce labs, physics lab, chemistry lab, etc. And all are in very good condition. If I talked about my course related lab i.e commerce lab and BMS lab... Then it is very good. there are many computers and all are working and also there are 3 lecturers in every lab lecture.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No, I am from Delhi and my home is only 5 km away from college. So I didn't opt.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is strong and there is time to time alumni meet also organized by our college. Also 200rs. For alumni meet also take from students which include in the fees. And alumni also make a great role in the college reputation.

Admission

I got admission by the process of merit list in which cut off has been placed by the college. I got admission in the 5th cut off list and the college wants the best 4 marks including English. So in 1st to 4th cut off, I was not eligible for admission but in the 5th cutoff, I got admission.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of our college is good as every lecturer takes their lecture on time and if there have been some unnecessary holidays for some reason then the lecturer took extra lecture also so that the syllabus will be cover on time.

Placement Experience:

Students of 3rd year are eligible for the same. Mckinsey, BCG, Bain, Blackrock, Meesho etc being the most prestigious recruiters. Highest package varies, but it went around 36 L last year. Avg being around 8 L. I would say most students who apply for placements get placed, however only a few get placed in the top companies. I personally wish to pursue an MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although, people say that B.Com doesn't have a great scope to it, I feel like there are many life lessons that we are taught during our college years. Since the introduction of NEP 2020, there has been a rather great emphasis on practical learning. In our college, we are asked for presentations and group projects to promote learning and communication. The presence of SEC and VAC also helps you develop your soft skills, groom your personality and live a happy and healthy life. Exams are help at the end of every semester. There are a few guides and PYQs with the help of which a student can prepare for these exams. They are relatively easy in my opinion and do not require extreme efforts. Overall, it's a great experience and a great opportunity to learn so many things.

Placement Experience:

In the context of a fictional scenario, the placement scenario would depend on the specific college within Delhi University. Some colleges have robust placement cells that facilitate campus placements with various companies. The placement scenario can vary, and it's advisable to check with the specific college for accurate and up-to-date information.

I choose b.Com because I am from a commerce background. It is an open college class held only on Sundays classrooms are good but washrooms are average. Teachers are experienced and well-educated. Exams are held on every 6 months semester wise you have to study hard to clear exams.
