Ragging record of this College is worst than any other
Last week a boy talked to a girl blackmailing her for nudes and giving rape threats
The restrictions to 1st years are very strict seriously I haven't even checked out whole campus due to restrictions

Courses here are ofcourse very relevant and also the part that the teachers are putting so much effort in making us learn and to invent new projects in our upcoming future. there was a seminar for GATE preparing aspirants last week too

Placement are very fine here like highest package this year was about 50 lakhs per annum and average package is of 11.25 lakhs per annum and in my branch chemical average is 9 lakhs per annum architectural department has 6 lakhs per annum

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for tution -96500 for first semester And 86500 for all other semesters And hostel fees -40000 for off semester and 32000 for even Also 5000 for security And also there are some other charges too for 30000 And also the fees is quite high

Campus Life

Infrastructure provided is very cool and also the infrastructure consists of various components which we usually study in our engineering days like vertical axis windmills and that helps us a lot to learn more new things from our surroundings

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are off the charts .I like the food here and it's very tasty also comes with a lot of variety Every week we eat non vegetarian food 3 days a week And a sweet dish everyday after the dinner

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

This college has one of the best infrastructure in India also I like the mountains and valleys side areas And the average placement were pretty good that attracted m a lot and that's why I went there all good

Faculty

Faculties are excellent and they are really hardworking.but the bad part is the first years are not provided with good faculties,we only get the faculty who are contracted for temporary basis and they are not so well qualified I think

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation.
