- The enviornment of the college is great. You get the opportunity to meet different types of people from the different origins
- The second thing that I like most about studying in LPU is that the reappear system of the college is great It gives you five times to clear a subject that you failed in any semester, so that you can improve your cgpa
- The infrastructure of the college is great. It offers various services for the students studying in the college. So you can take a lot of benefits from that. And they support sports a lot.
Dislikes
- The continuous assessment that they conduct in a semester and the marking system of the final results is what I don't like in the LPU college
- The guards are not very helpful and cooperative. They usually harass students on the pretext of UMC that the college apply if someone break any type of rules
Course Curriculum Overview
From childhood i was very intrigued with technology and the curriculum was very aligned with my interests the lab of LPU is greatly equipped with all the required hardware. the curriculum does not prepare well for real-world applications it just provide you the crux of technology. Course curriculum should be updated accordingly to latest technology and teachers should be more helpful and supportive so that students can fell free to ask any questions regarding the course.The exam frequency is quite okay the difficulty level is average depending upon the preparation of the individual students.
Placement Experience
From the third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements several companies are visiting LPU for campus placements like Capgemini, Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Amazon, OYO, D-mart, Flipkart, etc. The highest package was cracked by a B.Tech CSE student which was around 50 lakhs per annum And the average placement salary package ranges between 4 lakhs to 65 lakhs. Around 30 to 40 percent of students get placed in LPU on average. I will go for higher studies after the degree
Fees and Financial Aid
During my time the fee for BCA was 80,000 per semester. with a scholorship of 32,000 per semester on the basis of my LPUNEST marks. the annual examination fees is 4,500.I have a friend with a sports quota scholorship so he was not paying any tuition fees of college , he only paid for residential services.LPU offers numerous scholorships including those based on percentage in qualifying exams,LPUNEST based scholorships,CUET based scholorships, other special scholorships and financial aid.
Campus Life
Annual festivals are held in LPU or YouthVibe is typically held in February or March, Concoction is typically held in November or December, And then technical festivals of LPU are Technova. This is typically held in September or October month And Hackathons can be held throughout the year, depending on specific themes or collaborations The facilities and technological provisions within the classrooms are good. They provide a projector to project the PPT that they want to teach or to show us the codes. They offer almost every sport they have swimming pools. They have squash, they have table tennis, they have tennis, they have NCC squad trainers have jabbing through There is a student-run social group in LPU that helps students to grow in their academic careers That is, it creates a huge impact
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility of LPU is good in non-ac rooms. They provide a cooler fan A table, a chair, and a bed for two students And in AC rooms they provide AC in place of a cooler. At the beginning of the semester, the food quality is good. But as the semester passes on, the food quality decreases, respectively The registration process for hostels is easy. You just have to opt for a hostel in residential services in ums, it is quite affordable. after living in the hostel for a year I started living out in my second year And I was living in Phagwara in a PG.
Admission
I applied for VIT, Amity, and LPU. I got confirmed admission from Amity and LPU but I chose LPU due to the scholarships that they provide. Yes I got rejected from VIT because I could not clear the entrance exam. the admission process is straightforward, you have to apply and pay the application fees for the LPUNEST exam and after publication of result you will get to know your actual fees that is to be paid in order to get seat.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is very vast, The faculty-to-student relationship is average, they only follow the study plan that is created at the start of the semester. Faculties are easy to be approached. I like Simranpreet Kaur Ma'am because of her cooperative and helpful nature. I did not liked two teachers during my BCA one was Apash Roy the reason is he used to ask questions in viva that he did not even taught,second is Kanika Sharma the reason is she did not cared about us she was very rude from the start of my 3rd semester. In a semester there is three types of exam CA(Continous Assesment),Mid-Term exam and End-Term exam. the difficulty of passing these exam is moderate. 25-30 percent students fails to clear the exam. The course curriculam is out dated they are not up-to-date.
