Remarks
The campus of the college is very small. You cannot rely on college studies to get a good package and have to acquire various skills on your own to compete during placements. The brand name of BIT itself is not enough to get you a good job.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum and course structure for all the engineering branches changed last year in my college. They follow the CBCS system which is quite good. The college conducts two exams in a semester- midsem and endsem. In between there are practicals and quizzes for internal assessment.
Placement Experience
Placements are good in our college. Most of the students go to main campus for placements where major IT giants and mass recruiters select the students based on there skills. The college itself doesn't provide any internship to students. One has to find internships and work experience himself.
College Events
There are three major events in the college. 1) Vibrations - Annual cultural fest 2)Tech Vibes- Technical fest 3) Cavorts- Sports fest College also conducts various seminas and extra classes time to time for students along with some social events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is very expensive and the college doesn't do any justice to what you pay. The whole engineering may cost you around 8-9 Lacs which is quite expensive. For branches like BBA and animations it might be less but comparatively still expensive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarship to a specific set of students. To avail the scholarship, the annual income of parents must be below 3 LPA and the student should score above 8 GPA in every semester (which is very difficult). There is no loan facility available.
Campus Life
All the labs in the college are well equipped with latest equipments. There is no extra-curricular activity happening in the college except during the fest time. A very small gym and indoor sports area is provided. The students themselves manage to play and form the college teams to take part in other colleges.
Hostel Facilities
The college doesn't provide any hostel facility to the students as the college campus is itself is very small. There are many PGs around the college and one can find them easily. The college may also provide help with accommodation in the area.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is very strong and helpful. BITOSA community conducts various workshops and seminars in the college. They are always willing to help us. BITOSA connects all the alumnis from various campuses together and hence one can seek help from them anytime.
Faculty
The college faculty is quite knowledgeable. All of them hold degrees from reputed colleges. They all are ready to help in projects and can guide you in the career. Teaching can be of average quality and most of the times you have to look for different resources to study.
