Review of UPES

I was having interest in technology and innovation which led me choosing B.Tech CSE for my graduation degree. I was having interesting in coding and problem solving so i opted it. The curriculum of UPES is a blend of theoritical knowldege as well as hands-on practical experience. Through industry aligned courses, live projects, internships, and exposure to latest technologies like AIML and Cloud Computing, student's are well prepared to tackle real world challenges. The curriculum can be more beneficial from more industry aligned projects and regular update on emerging technologies. The behaviour of some of the tecahers is very impolite and rude which stops the student from asking any doubt so if the tecahers put that thing a little aside and interact with the student in a polite way then it will be very beneficial. The frequency of exam is BTech includes the mid-semester exams, end-semester exams and the internal assessment. The weightage is 20% of mid semester, 30% end semester and 50% internal assessments.

There is compolsury internship after every year. You have to do 2 month social internship after the 1st year in which there are 2 options one is that you choose your internship by yourself or you can choose university choice in which the university provides you internship near your area. Same is in 2nd year you have to do internship in the month of june and july in your domain. The university helps you in the internship.

The placement of my campus is very good. The placement percentage is 94%. All well knows companies such as Microsoft, AWS, TCS etc come to our university for hiring freshers. The highest package from our university is 50LPA and the average oackage is around 8LPA. The students from the 5th semester are eligible for the placement. My plans after getting my degree is to continue my further studies in my field

My Fees for the 1st semester B.Tech CSE was ?2,53,000 and for the second semester it was around ?2,00,000. Currently I am in my 3rd semester and my fees is ?2,38,000. This is my semester fees till now. It includes all the fees like tution fees, caution fees, registration fees, labs fees etc. There are some scolarships such as state quota. They also provide scolarships according to JEE scores as well as BOARDS score and the scolarships continues according to the CGPA. One of my friend is from Uttarakhand and is eligible for the state quota. Her fees is around 25% less.

The all over campus life from my first semester is going awesome. There are many fest and events which are conducted by my university. There are many tournaments which happen in every month. As my university is situated in mountains I enjoy alot as I go to different places with my friend on weekends such as Mussoorie Rishikesh etc. The annual and biggest fest of our university are UURJA and SPANDHAN. In spandhan as I already mentioned that student and tecahers participate together.

The hostel facilities which are provided are very good but the hostel fees is very expensive. The hostel fees for double sharing attached washroom starts from 2,21,000. It includes 4 time meal a day and laundry included in it. The menu of the food changes in every 15 days. The menu quality is above average. The registration process of hostel is through the portal of the university.

I choosed this college beacuse of the environment, the ranking and because of the placement percentage. It provides us opportunities such as 2+2 program, semester exchange program, life time placement opportunity which other universities don't provide. I also applied for other colleges such as SRM,VIT, MIT but I preferred this university because of the above mentioned reason as well as the surrounding places this university have. As it is situated in the mountains it has the best view and greenery near it. No i didn't got rejection from other colleges in which i applied. The admission process is very simple. Firstly fill the form online. Then you have to give the entrance exam. If your JEE score and Board score is very good then you will get some scolarship.

The faculties-to-student ratio of UPES is 39.2. The relationship of student and faculty is very good. There is a fest in the university named as SPANDHAN in which there are many tournaments in which the student and faculty participate together which develops a very good bond between the student and faculty. One of the best faculty in the B.Tech CSE are Dr Neelu Jyoti Ahuja (Associate Dean of School of Computer Science). The way she interacts with each and every student is amazing, the way she teaches is also very good. There are no such faculty whom I don't like. There are 2 exams in one semester. The mid semester exam and the end semester exam. They consist of the subjects that you have in your particular semester. There is no such particular number that there will be this much exam in the mid sem and the end sem. The difficulty is not very tough if you had studied throught out your classes then you will easily score good grades.
