What Students Say
Likes
- Huge campus with all the resources one might need it, be it sports, research or anything one might want
Dislikes
- Locals do get their way more because the teachers are also locals so they get along better
Course Curriculum Overview
- course cirrcuilam is up to the par but its not up to the pace with the changing world and technology feels like we are still in 2000s. - great for research purpose but not for real life - include subjects that matter and not EVS or Bio for a enginnering student -exam timing are good its after evey 2 months per sem
Internships Opportunities
Many companies provide internships like even my gmail folder is full with internship mails. its offered from various startups, microsogt, google, and other small buissness like a research paper writing job etc.
Placement Experience
-7th sem is from which you are eligible to sit for campus placements -JP morgan, Tata, Infosys etc. - JP morgan didnt select any students this year -highest package was 52lpa and average is 5lpa - 100% placement - most probably do MBA
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees for Btech in CSE is around 4L per year, students need to pay 70k before addmission whoch will include a laptop amd other precautionary fees in it. NRI students do have scholorships and also students withing 1k rank in KIITEE exams gets scholarships. Also this year they started if the student maintains more than 85% attendance whole semester they get scholarships too
Campus Life
- There are countless tech fests, flashmobs, smalls events that happen in kiit every month -KIIT has one of the biggest central library with high tech facilities and also different libraries for each department -each class is well equipped with prohectors and smart boards. - KIIT has its own cricket stadium, rugby stadium, numerous number of tennis, bandminton, volleyball, basketball courts all over the campus - students run clubs like automobile clubs which makes go karts, f4 cars, electric cars. charity clubs like kritharth etc. makes kiit a very student friendly college
Hostel Facilities
- rooms are given based on priority of the students like with ac or non arc. with attached washrooms or not attached. 2 sharing or 3. - Food is average - premium hostels are costly it costs arround 1L per sem
Admission
- got into VITs, PMS but chose KIIT because of the sheer campus size and life it provides - got rejected from IITs, didnt make the cut - you need to give KIITEE to get addmission and the ranks decide the course options you can be eligible to, not cutoff
Faculty
Faculties are helpful and supportive I like my maths faculty Mr. Debdulal Ponda the most because he is so cheerful and always a pleasure to learn from. Didnt like Srikumar because he is too strict for no reason There are 2exams per semester, one is mid sem and other is end sem. mid sems are usually easy while the end sems are moderate at best. Students dont usually fail any exams
