- I just liked bus facilities. Because college is really far from the metro station. But if you don’t catch the bus, you will have to take two autos. Specifically if you live in Delhi.
Dislikes
- Mess food, I hated the mess and canteen food. No hygiene at all.
- I hated how teachers believe in discrimination.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course should be more of practical than theory. Mass communication should be practiced than reading. The course was not too tough. Exams were easy to pass. IMS is affiliated by CCSU, the exam dates are always keep on changing.
Fees and Financial Aid
I will not recommend IMS college to anyone. The professors are not helpful. My course was all related practical but what we were offered was theory. A friend of mine was having breathing problem, but my college didn't take an initiative to take the student to the hospital. Even the main gates were closed and they refused to understand the issue. The campus is very small. The tuition fees was more than 3 lakhs. Uniform had an extra charge. They provided bus facilities, and I can assure you all the bus drivers used to be drunk and drive carelessly.
Campus Life
The campus has a lot of festivals and programs, like Hack-A-Thon, Pulse - yearly fest, Navratri celebration at the hostel, Diwali celebration . Library is open to all, but you can only sit in the library if you have approval from the subject teacher, this is just because to handle students on the bunk. Otherwise, there's a good collection of novels, subject related books, newspapers, projects for referral. The classroom has a camera to keep an eye on the class, Speaker, projector, class white board, AC. There are sports clubs. Students who are interested in basket ball, cricket, tennis, chess can take part in the competition held at institute. I would like to say, Clubs make your college life fun. Because with studies you get involved with so many activities. Get to meet different students from different courses, exchange of thoughts develops your personality.
Admission
I applied at UPES, Dehradun. But due to family issues had to withdraw my name from that university. I liked the course and university too. The only reason I chose this college because I found good ratings. The admission process is ready easy, they just take small interview just to know you, and they give you admission. No exam criteria.
Faculty
Some faculties are good. But some are partial. They don't pick/ respond to texts when there is an emergency. I liked Poonam ma'am and Narayan Sir. They both have been helpful and kind. They try their level best to teach.
