Remarks

NITW gives you a memorable college life and a good career. This college life leads to overall development of you. What all you need to do is embrace it. Don't be dumb. Participate in as many events as you can. There are no bad remarks as it depends on the way you perceive it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

the course curriculum was quite good and it was same for all in first years .in first year there will be basics of all branches they are c++ language, engineering drawing , engineering mechanics, basic electrical engineering, engineering biology. And per day there will be maximum 8 hours of study .and 1 hour for each subject on certain days only .i felt very satisfied with it because it was stress-free and healthy timetable.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements in the college are very good. About 80% of the students got placed this year. The highest salary offered was 39.5 LPA, and the average package offered was 8.6 LPA, and the lowest package was about 3.5 LPA. Around 150 companies including Microsoft, Infosys, Facebook, Tata Motors, and some coaching centres visited this year for placements. Around 200 students got internships. There is innovation garage which provides a platform to improve ourselves, which is also very useful to prepare ourselves for upcoming companies.

College Events

4.5

Mostly 2 events celebrated at large level. 1) college tech fest. technozion-there are many college parted in this fest and so many tecnical events(robotic racing, online gaming competition, bike stunt etc.) In the tech fest. 2)college cultural fest - spring spree- in this fest many cultural events(allure, celebrity night, ramp walk,dj night etc.) Listed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the NITs is set by the MHRD in consultation with the NIT Council. Consequently, the tuition fee is the same across all NITs , which is Rs. 62, 500 per annum.and in nitw 20000 fee charges for extra curricular activities for all categories.but tution fee vary on the basis of different category and annual income.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah, there is a pretty good scholarship available. There is Epass, National scholarship, Merit scholarship, FFE etc. Loans are also available as we have SBI linked to college.and schlorship based on annual income also available for obc and sc,st categories.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many extracurricular actvities happening in college.in each semester 18 student clubs are organized many events, quiz etc.every year inter nit sports events are happened.labs are in good conditions.

Hostel Facilities

4

The infrastructure of the campus is good. Hostels have their own LAN but no Wi-Fi. Classrooms and labs are in good condition. Medical facilities are always provided to students easily. Each hostel of a particular batch has their own food canteen, and somehow, it is good. Hostel rooms are in good condition, and there are all facilities available like lifts, etc.

Alumni/Alumna

senior students were quite helpful.there will be sometimes when ragging will happen .and rigging was done on their respective district juniors.no bad comments on alumni network.we have a club regarding Alumni. They suggest us on whatever we ask.

Faculty

3.5

Some of the teachers are good and well qualified. They always give us pleasure. Some of the teachers have very good teaching quality; they explain the concepts by teaching through projectors and green boards. But, most of them don't provide elaborated detail of any chapter. The course curriculum was very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
