Remarks

The faculty is good but hostels are not so good. The teachers are very helpful and educated around 90% of faculty is phd and others are doing phd they help you if you have any problem regarding teaching system.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are huge variety of courses present in my University you can choose any of your choice. The exam pattern is simple firstly they take your mid semester test which is of 25 marks each subject then they give you marks for assignment and at the end they take your final exan

Placement Experience

Thre placements in this University is very good many students passed out with good jobs. The students of MBA are getting good jobs in banks. Btech students also get placements in different companies. Overall the college has good placements.

College Events

The events are celebrated on every month. Recently there was job fair in which CM of punjab gave jobs to students. Now a event is going on in which different students participate. The events are managed by the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure os feasible as the college provides all the facilities which are necessary for yhe overall development of students. Yhey provide better security good food ,good residence etc. In this college there is everything we need.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provide scholarships for meritorious students. The students who scored 80% marks in first semester will get the scholarship besides that the students who are poor also get the scholarship.

Campus Life

Labs ,sports etc are very good in this college there is everything you need from football to cricket kit. they provide you everything. The labs are also very good they are clesn and well maintained

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful the give you their notes and other useful study material. You can contact them anytime whenever you need them. They also give you suggestions regarding the studies.

Faculty

The faculty of my college is well educated and helping. They are very helping and provide the best education. Each department has its own head which manages the lecturer under him. If you have any problems regarding teaching system you can camplain them.

Exploring life at Chandigarh University

Likes

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.

Likes

The most appreciated aspect was the quality of teaching in classroom. There were structured planning for studies and exam preparations.
The campus was peaceful and the college celebrated every cultural event very enthusiatically covering interest of students belonging from various traditional backgrounds across India.
There was wide spread interest both from students and faculty side for promoting extra cirricular activites and talent.

Dislikes

The way a student raises a complain can be improved.
To allot extra hours for extra acirricular activites.

Placement Experience:

Placements are great for tech and core domains. Alomost every students gets to sit in placement following the eligibilty critera. Many students get double placed and there is a placement policy which allows fare chances of placement to every student.

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

Dislikes

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Likes

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Dislikes

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

I like my couse btech with computer science because it has high change to geeting high paying jobs and to build a successful career with my opinion they can improve their faculty with higher education qualification

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

I had also applied to lovely professional university but i finally choose DAV university mainly because of fees and affordability. LPU offers better infrastructure and branding, but the the total cost was much higher compared to DAV. DAV is clearly more affordable than LPU. LPU is better in terms of campus size, hostels, labs and overall facilities. DAV has decent infrastructure but it is more basic and less modern than LPU. LPU has more exposure and resouces, while DAV focus more on regular academics. Faculty quality may vary from teacher to teacher. LPU has stronger placements than DAV. The addmission process at DAV was simple. There was no GD, PI just form submission, eligibility verification based on 12th grade marks. i choose this university because it was close to my house , affordable tuition fees , good placements. I haven't applied to any other colleges for admission i just browsed the reviews of the university.
