Course Curriculum Overview

4

Bachelors in commerce can make students financial literate and can help them easily gel into the corporate world. This course is very much comprehensive and practical. I chose this subject because of my interest in finance. In our course the exams are based on semesters. There are two semester in a year. The exams are not so difficult. If you are well prepared you can easily secure good percentage.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are various companies and job roles offered by placement cell of our college. The Placement Cell of our college makes sure to get 2 internships a month and one placement. After this many companies are invited for offline in-campus placement drives.

Placement Experience

4

Our college does offer good placement but don't expect, top 4 in placement fairs. Well reputated companies like Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, Concentrix, ICIC bank etc. are mass recruiter of college. Students of third year become eligible for full time jobs but every student is eligible for internship. The highest package that has been offered last year is 1100000/annum CTC and the mean package is about 400000/annum. Most of the students who want placement gets placed in their desired company and even the placement cell of our college help students to get their desired job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Delhi University is central funded university thus the fees is bare minimum. Yearly fees of the most hyped course of Delhi University that is B.Com(hons) cost around 13000-14000 per annum besides that you'll charge around 1100 rupees per semester for each semester. Also there is proper scholarship schemes for economical weaker section.

Campus Life

4

Overall, the campus life is worth every minute spend in college. You'll get students from all background and regions of country. You'll get a good crowd in college. There are regular events that are being organised in college. Also you become eligible to viait other college's events too. You can get into societies of colleges for connecting with different peers. There are various societies like Dance, Music, Social Entrepreneurship, Art, Theatre, Fashion and Departmental Societies. Their is ample spaced ground having cricket pitches and football fields connected. Proper coaches and teams are also maintained by college administrations. You can participate in any team you want and can participate in competitions throughout the University Level.

Admission

As commerce student I also aspired to get into SRCC the top most college for commerce students. But I couldn't clear its cutoff. For gettinf admission in Delhi University's Colleges you have to give CUET exam. I secured 680/800 marks in CUET which cleared cut off of Zakir Husain College. I included Zakir in my Preference List because I was aware of the good alumini network and about the faculty of commerce in Zakir Husain College. Zakir is much better than many South and Off campus colleges because of its campus area, location and faculty.

Faculty

5

There are 4 teachers of core subjects of 3 sections of my course that is B.Com (Hons). The faculty is the best amongst all south campus colleges. Our teachers are well versed for their respective subjects, well groomed as well as well qualified. They are always ready to help student and initiate students for extra curriculars. B.Com (Hons) is a practical subject thus it can be concluded that it includes complex calculations and subjects within. The exam level is moderate. If you are well preapred you can easily crack it. Everything depends on your preparations.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.
