Course Curriculum Overview

4

as of my batch the course curriculum is old but the immediate junior batch the curriculum has been improved. so yes new admissions will get the new course curriculum. I felt like even i had the old curriculum, its also very intersting to study and the number of numericals is huge. I like numericals more than cramming stuff so according to me the course curriculum is kinda very good. the reduction of ppts could increase the quality of teaching of the faculty very much.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internships are provided 5th semester onwards, not all of the students are able to get the on campus internships. becoz of the lesser number of companies visiting to offer internships and more for placements, but the college tag is good enough to get you an internship if you have the requiered skills for the internship.

Placement Experience

4

The placements of my college are good enough considering a middle class background as i am from. the opportunities provided are very good compared to private and some government colleges even. The students are eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards, some students are even offered pre placement offers in fifth and sixth semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

my annual fees is 70000 but i have availed a scolarship to reduce my fees, the normal annual fees is around 150000. also if the income of the family is significanlly low the fees is ffurther reduced. my college also promotes availing government schemes for students to get some scholrships, almost all the students who need a scolarship get the scolarship.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is very good. there is no sign of ragging and toxicity. There are occasional encounters with the seniors when they ask for introduction, just introduce yourself and go. There are also social events that are organised regularly that increase the social interaction and social life of the students. this helps boost confidence and build speaking skills of the engineers. There are also student run committees, clubs and societies. some of which run all year long. being a part of the student groups helps squeeze out the opportunities from the college even more efficiently.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is okayish every hostel has some or the other problem be it lack of renovation in the older hostels to the irregular supply of water in the newer hostels. but the fees asked for the hostels is also compensatory. like the hostels are liveable for the price they ask for. the meal quality is good. i in 3 years never found any sort of quality issues in the food. but the way they make use of the material, thefood is barely just edible. like the workers know very less of how to make food.

Admission

at the time of choosing this college i had no far sightedness so i just chose my college on a whim. I had a local gfti which is at the same level compared to my current college, if i was given a chance again, then instead of this college, on the same rank i would choose something like nit jamshedpur in the same branch, living in himachal, i realised that i dont like himachal at all.

Faculty

3

The faculty also have a wide variety, there are some wholesome faculties who understand the student life and create realistic opportunities for the students. and some other faculties who are just there for the money and no other business. they have no interest in teaching and just give the students the required time and guidance to achieve what they want . then comes the third type of faculties. they have no interst in teaching but they will pretend like they want to teach the students, so they just f up the students grades and get a lot of abuse in return

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at my college are average. A few reputed companies visit the campus each year, but the number of offers and salary packages varies depending on the branch and market conditions. Students who have strong academic performance, technical skills, internships, and good communication skills generally have better chances of getting placed.
