Fees structure is good here..within a minimal amount we can study
Faculty is very interractive and supportive
The sceneries of the University is very beautiful

Lack of campus placements from the University
There is no display board for the display of artworks during examination
The semester exams happens always late or too early

Course Curriculum Overview

First of all I love art and it is the only college near my home and I can't afford to go to some other place away from home..moreover the applications for further academic persuit is very good.they sends us for interships through which we can get jobs as well

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 18000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall fees structure is not so high..yearly fees is 12870 rupees and extra 1200 for exam fees. Tution fees is 300 . There are various kinds of scholarships available to apply.overall it is very cheap here to study

Campus Life

The campus view is mesmerizing it is covered with forest various wild life can also be seen within the campus.it is a home for various kinds of flora and fauna. The annual fest of Assam University is also very good . Various national and international artists come to perform there. University is also engaged with various sports activities

Admission

I am financially weak and can't afford to go away from home and this University is very affordable and good .I even tried for Kolkata's shantiniketan but couldn't pass the entrance exam there. For the admission we have to give entrance and had to have atleast 50% in HS exam

Faculty

Honestly I would say the faculty of department of Visual arts is the best.they are very much supportive,helps in everything and we can ask each and everything to them. Their way of teaching is also commendable

The admission criteria are based on 12th class grades. The examination of the 12th grade should be given from any recognized board. The admission is given on the basis of merit. My name appeared in the first list itself. Then I had secure my admission by completing all the formalities of the admission.

Remarks:

If you are opting for a cheap college with quality education then our college is just for you. The attitude of the faculty and the helpfulness of the Vice Chancellor also the principal is very impressive. All of the students take part in extra curricular activities but also serious towards their studies which makes our college the best college in north eastern states.

Admission:

For admission, anyone who has passed his/her 10+2 in any stream can apply by going to the online admission portal(website) but at the time of mine, there was no such facility so We use to go college and apply directly by filling the form(paper-based).

Remarks:

Overall, I'd say college is very good. It is one of the finest colleges in the state. I came from elsewhere to study at this college and I don't regret my decision. I made many new friends and now I am used to the environment so it will be difficult for me to leave this place.

The Assam university in a nutshell

This is the only collage i got through the JOSAA counselling i applied to many collage including the collage in near my locality but i didnt got any of them because of my low jee rank . the admission process was easy after the JOSAA allotment i cam to collage and regestred the copy of physical documets and got the admission confirmation . there was no additional exam involed just thejee rank is taken after allotment i didnt have to give any other exams or interview....Read More

ASSAM UNIVERSITY SILCHAR , THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY

i applied to many collages including nit and other collages and in multiple branches in JOSAA and CSAB but this collage is the only option i got so i chose this collage . The admission was pretty straight forward students got through JOSAA or CSAB came to the collage on conselling day and submitted the required document which incuded the * 12th marks sheet * 10th mark sheet , * caste cetificate * Income certificate * 3 passport size photos * Anti ragging certificate ( made by a lawyer ) and any other basic required document inculing the coulselling result print out with the paid amount document .there is also spot addmission if seates are left and it is avaliable for various catagory student from different states ....Read More
