Course Curriculum Overview
I have always been passionate about history and it gives me a higher study opportunity in future. It helps me to think deeper and to understand global events, cultures in real life. The teachers are fabulous here but need to improve in research and writing skills, professional development etc. Exam level is moderate and the 1st semester and exam timing will be uploaded in website few months before .
Fees and Financial Aid
Total fees for Master of Arts at Raiganj University is approximately 4340 for a two year . One time payment for library fee and registration fee is 500rs only . Of course there are so many scholarship opportunities like 1. Swami Vicekananda Merit cum means Scholarship 2. Oasis Scholarship 3. Nabanna Scholarship etc Also, There is low fees structure for Sc st obc categories . There is many facilities and more scholarship opportunities for them .
Campus Life
Campus experience is good . Independence day , republic day , teachers day etc events are celebrated in out campus where some students show their talent in extra curriculum field. One of the biggest cultural festivals of raiganj university is held in the month of november or december . That is called "RAIVARSIFEST". Library is enrich with so many books which one can borrow for 15 days but yes, Library should increase their no of books . We have a big field with all kinds of activities. Annual Sports is arranged by the university in the month of January. But surely university should increase sports opportunities. Yes students run social groups, clubs etc .
Admission
Firstly i don't apply for any other colleges because i have good marks in 12th board exams . In our city even in north bengal raiganj university is very popular for their teaching skills. I have also completed my bachelor's degree in raiganj university. In my subject history, one should get 60%marks in history and should have a overall good percentage in 12th exam . In my year those who got overall 65%bis selected. For admission keep eye on raiganj university website for release of admission notification. Fill the form within specific dates then university release merit list . After that you have to give a seat allotment fee and do physical verification in the university in given dates . Then you are selected. The process is same for pg course's also but you must have completed your bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Faculty
In 2019 , there is a good balance in faculty student ratio. Like there are 9 respected faculties for 72 students. Classes have done by them time to time with extra classes. Dr Barendranath giri sir is ancient history specialist. Dr Swapan Kumar Pain sir Ajay dutta sir is renowned for their knowledge. We are lucky to have such teachers like them . Their is no faculties which i didn't like because they all (both sir, mam) are soo helpful . The teaching quality is exceptional so that no students fail to clear exam. Everyone is passed by good marks. Our university achieves high student success rate . The Ma in history program is quite prestigious. It opens my career opportunities in competitive fields and also in higher studies. There are 2 semesters per year . The question level is moderate to high .
Night Life
Our university don't have gym . Only the library is open for 6pm and the field is also open for 6/7pm approximately. I didn't enroll i hostel but as far as i know the food quality is average. One can go outside by within 8 pm they have to come back in hostel. The locality is student friendly. Many paying guest, rental rooms , mess is available,. Tiffin service is also available in this area as some students don't prefer hostel. Many parks , restaurants is available for hangouts and enjoy free times. The gym is also available outside the university.
