Entrance Preview

I took JEE as entrance examinationI got 90% marks in JEE and 92% marks in kerala state bord examI opt this NIT because of two reason 1. NITC is one of the best NIT in india 2. This NIT in my state.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum are courses upgrade as per new technology a complete review of course is done regularly and is also done through feedback forms filled by students. Course in accordance with evolving technology is being taught in classroom sessions branch FacultyFaculties are highly qualified holding Ph.D.(Engg), M.tech from various reputed institutes around 1 Professor and 08 Assistant professors and 01 technical staffs are working at the department to ensure development of department and students the department offers consultancy in following divisions structural design material testing and certification turn key projects site survey levelling and layout hydrological surveys design of hydraulic structures preparation of Project ProposalsIn Situ Quality Assessment of Structures.

Internships Opportunities

My internship experience is very nice companies camed for internship are Gammon India, JSPL, Yashi Consulting, Saint Gobain, JSW Steel Ltd I can tell you that these internship programs offer stipend more than enough to cover the travel, living and food expenses.

College Events

Many conferences are organized at NIT Calicut to bring the students closer to evolving technology and also encourage them to do research NITC hosts its annual technical festival, Tathva in September and it's cultural fest Ragam in March both attract participants from all over the country, and are always huge successes.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The institute doesnt charge high fees from the candidates the fee structure is very moderate and affordable the basic tuition fee is very low along with the tuition fee the candidates need to pay some other small charges like examination fee, computer fee, library fee, registration and enrolment fee, medical and insurance fee, etc Initially the candidates must pay a caution deposit of Rs.2000 which is refundable thus the total fees paid by the candidate will come under Rs.25, 000 only students who wish to stay in college hostel must pay a hostel fee.

Exam Structure

NITC have well built infrastructure and technology for examination large number of efforts is being put in to give the best of education to students through high tech labs and a healthy environment transportation environmental geology Laboratory and Museu

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

Likes

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

college provides nice venue good study environment

It is so far from the main road a lot to walk

Students can get internships from First sem. Students become eligible from 7th sem for campus placement . The average package begins from 15000/- to most highest package of 25000/-. The percentage of students getting paced is 20-30%.I have been planiing to go to higher studies.

Campus, comparing from nearby college this college had good visual beauty may be because of the college been part 2-3 movies. Visually the college are too good with nature

Dislikes

The Placement is weak as there is no opportunity to get a proper core based job from what you studied mainly job opportunities come from call centres which doesnt require Btech to study. This personally felt too sad to be here to get placed in core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of the college comes under Ktu syllabus it has already has demerits of the university. Curriculum basically doesnot provide a realworld application uses. Just creates a knowledge on the course (and thats doubt) We need to courses outside the college to get the core jobs outside

The college provides a good atmosphere to truly get a job in the competetive world if we are willing to work for it.
They heavily monitor attendance to make sure that you take your classes so that you perform well in your exams
The facilities provided by the college are good as there are several labs and workshops for hands-on experience

Dislikes

The campus life can get boring and it feels like we are in a rat race.
Some teachers can be a bit apathetic towards the students.
The number events that encourage social interactions in not many

The students are elegible for campus placements from the 7th semester and almost all students get placements provided they don't have any subject yet to clear at the time of placement. There are several companies that visit the college for recruiting including but not limited to TCS, CTS,etc,.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there

Yes the college is providing placement facilities and the College has its own placement and industrial relations wing that is said to study about the current industrial requirements and provide the adequate amount of training for the students

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
