University of delhi - A dream of many

Practical knowledges are also being given by the university by computers. Curriculum of the course is really nice. Bcom hons is quite difficult . But it is really worth it in future.According to me curriculum of the course should be slightly decrease because it becomes very hard at times to complete the syllabus at time. Syllabus should be shortened a bit.

Companies like paradyes, justdial, Upgrad, jindal, airtel, nerolac, fnp, collegedunia has come for internship in our college. Average stipend is around 8k and highest stipend is around 55 k. And for placement the maximum package was around 17.4 lpa and average was 5.4 lpa. Both are the datas of the placement report of the session 2023-24.

I have opted bcom hons course and currently studying in Delhi University. It feels very good to be part of this prestigious Institute. So firstly starting with the fee structure. For bcom hons We are paying around 15k per year. The fees charged directly depends upon your college. If you are studying in top college of delhi university it will go upto around 25k also for the course of bcom hons. As per my view fees is very reasonable as compared to high fees charged by private university. As a first year we just asked to pay the whole fees for the complete year, breakdown of fees structure wasn't given to us. But fees structure completely depends upon your category type.Same goes with the registration fees. Registration fees was around 250 (for general) . Decreasing as per the category type you belong from. I belong to general so only stating about the same. Merit based scholarship are being given. Also financial aids has been given to certain category of people by charging a minimal amount of fees. In nutshell I can say studying in delhi university is worth it only can you get your desired course plus college. Crowd is just awesome.,

There are a number of societies in every college of delhi university. According to your interest you can choose from it. DU is always very famous for its annual fest organised. Many known singers comes to perform the live music performance. Talking about the books in library many variety of books are available. Also you can issue books for your semester exams. Some classes have projectors in it for better understanding of certain topics. You can easily issue sports equipment by showing your identity card.

It was all pre planned that I have to opt for bcom hons course. Your admission in university of delhi is all based upon your cuet exam score. Cuet is a all india entrance exam that allows your entry to various colleges around india Same is with delhi university. Admission is based upon scores you got. So basically I have applied in around 80 colleges of Delhi University with the combination of both bcom hons course and bcom. Starting from the top I had listed the top colleges like SRCC, LSR etc. But As my score was around 681/800 and also belonging from general category it is quite difficult to get admission in such a course. Bcom hons is the most in demand course of delhi university and also the competition is very high for such courses. Cut offs really goes up if you want to get in top colleges.

There is a semester exam that takes place. For that centralized question papers comes directly from the university office. Difficulty level ranges from medium to hard depending upon your learning. The staff of university is really nice and appreciable Constantly looking after the students Delhi University also provides different subjects like digital marketing, financial literacy etc. Apart from core subjects. Belonging from bcom hons course. Core subjects are management applications and principles, business laws and financial account. Apart from these three subjects we have three subjects that are mandatory for all. General elective and SAC subjects are to chosen by every student.

My college is being situated in Rajouri garden. Rajouri garden is all famous for its foods and clothing. So there is a market near our college which is around 0.5 kms away from college and one can easily go there by auto which will hardly charge 20-30 rs per person.College is very near to metro station so if you wish to go somewhere else you can freely do so. Hostel facilities is not offered by my college. Many pgs are available there around the college so you can take pg for your living if you come from distant places. Rajouri market and punjabi bagh are the two best places outside of our college.
