Curriculum is nice , punctuality is maintained throughout the semester . Though the decision of joining college was random and accidental , didn't even had time to think about taking the course as : The time for taking or registering for course was very less . The real world application is that it produces marine engineer's that serve in merchant Navy which we all know what it is famous for . The teaching is never enough to be great in any industry, it is your experience that will make you good and worthy. There is no difficulty for toppers in any course, but for backbenchers you know what it is , though you can pass if study for about 10 days before the commencement of the exam . There are good gaps in between the exams

The placement is 100% . Companies starts to come from 3rd semester only but for a few then as gradually semester forwards more companies come to pick . At the end of the 8th semester all the cadets get placed With a good package. All students gets placed so be fearless for your placement but make sure to study for the same and most important do not get any back . If you are getting back in any subject try to clear as soon as possible. Mostly all companies that are related to merchant Navy come for placements.

The fees for odd semester is 1,22,500 and the fees for even semester is 1,55,500 . As there are total of 8 semester so the total fees sums upto a total of 11,00,000 rupees. There is caution fee of 30,000 which you have to pay at starting of 1st semester. This fees may vary year wise and the fee Structure for the starting year will be followed for all the years of studying. There is no reservation or fee rebate or wavier, there is no reservation for any caste. The scholarship are only from your respective state if you are really needy it depends on your luck whether your state approves or not.

I think Campus Life is best for all . In first year you will be trained mentally and physically to what the industry demands, if you are really sincere about your carrier then first year will be deciding year to whom you will make contacts with . Every student get personal books in every semester the book bank here is very good . Library is nice. Classrooms are air conditioned with projectors and good seating arrangement. Sports and extracurricular activities are all practiced here . Here are many student run cultural clubs, event organizing committes , social handles for a great network with the alumni .

In first year, you will be accommodated with 6 person in a single room , mess food is we know how it is in every college . Environment is friendly you will be under supervision of a warden. In second year , you will be accommodated with 2 person in a single room the mess is quite big and food is good but limited, same for 1st year mess. In 3rd year, you will be accommodated with 3 person in a single room the mess food is nice compared to 1 and 2 year hostel is not that good in condition. In 4th year , you will be accommodated with 1 person in a single room.

Didn't knew much about the industry but because of some relatives gave a overview of the same as this is the best college for the industry so here Iam pursuing the course. If someone is interested in merchant Navy then I can guarantee you this college is G.O.A.T to join . Admission process is quite fast so you will not get any time to think but after coming to college the process is seamlessly smooth

Faculty here is nice but it only depends on the faculty to whom you are talking. There are two type of faculty guest and permanent. Guest faculty is not that much approachable except some we all know in every college there are some good and bad ones. All Permanent faculty are great very supportive but as this college is in state of West Bengal, Kolkata. so there is special personal treatment given by the Bengalis through faculty if you make good contact with them.

Night life is quite low in first year as it will only teach you about how shipping life works and you will be disciplined in every condition. There are specified spaces for gym, study room , public area , waiting rooms. Campus opens till 2200 hours for normal days.
