Likes
- I like infrastructure of my college. It has latest possible facilities like smart classes, big auditorium, playgrouds, parks etc. Most of the Delhi university colleges are actually well infrastrucured.
- Delhi university has Well knowledgeable and supportive faculty like experienced professors who are passionate about teaching and guiding students.
- Delhi university organizes mentorship and counselling programme every year for students and of course it is free of cost.
Dislikes
- Delhi university`s examination department is very poor. Exam results are always late by 1 or 2 months.
- They can give you comparment in any exam, no matter how excellent your exam was done.
- Students do not get enough time to study, they start admission just before 2 or 3 months of exam.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate 5 star to the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. Delhi university provides wide variety of courses to choose from. I'm glad that Delhi university is introducing the new subjects those teach moral values mainstream subjects. Frequency of exams is pretty well you just have to give exams 2 times a year but the problem is they start admission just before the two or three months of exam. So, you don't get enough time to study
Internships Opportunities
Delhi university provides internship opportunities but in the last semester, so I can't say anything about the placements and stipends what they offer or not. I can provide this review only in the last semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
I took admission in Delhi university, School of open learning in 2023. And at that fee for my course B.Com (HONS.) was 8320 yearly. This one time annual fee includes exam fee, Study material (i.e. course books), classes fee. You do not have to pay any fee whole year after this one time fee. DUSOL also provide internship for first semester students for those who are economically weak. But now fee structure has been revised from 2024, fee for all courses have been gradually increased by 20% to 25%.
Campus Life
My overall experience which campus life is pretty well. Mostly all types of books and journals are available in the library. The facilities and technological provisions are very advanced in the classroom. They provide smart classes for better understanding of topics. Delhi university offers sports and extracurricular activities for students to grow.
Admission
I chose Delhi university, school of open learning because SOL offers distance learning program allowing me to study anywhere, at my own pace. I Can attend classes on weekends, allowing me to maintain balance between my study and responsibilities. Admission process is very simple, you just have to apply online. Fill the admission form online pay fee and you are ready to go.
Faculty
Faculty of Delhi university is well knowledgeable and supportive. Faculty to student ratio is also well maintained. Faculty to student relationships are approachable. Exams are held two times a year. They are not too difficult, you can easily clear exams with moderately studying. But the problem is that no matter how your exam was done, Good or Bad. They will give you comparment in any exam. or maybe they will pass you in every exam even your exams did not go pretty well.
Night Life
Don't have experience on late night life experience of college campus. Because I do not do Hangouts I just focus on my studies and return to my home at evening. But my friends enjoy nightlife very well in college campus, they tell me their experience is amazing.
