Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was good as copared to othe colleges. The courses were similar although, one whole semester was reserved for students to do an intenhship of thei choice. This generally doesnt happen in most colleges. this prepared us for whats coming in terms of jobs and how we will apply our knowledge in the real world. My course was a little new and mine was the fist batch to graduate from it hence companies didnt know wha it was about - Elecrical and Computer Engineering

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship opportnity is not provided by the placement cell but the departemnt the he course falls into. the departement manageing faculty appoached companies and startups for nternhips. although f a placement company wants to offer ou intership thats a different story.

Placement Experience

4

Placement record of this college is really good and famous. In good season it places 99% people with an average package of 10LPA. Although in non peak seasons this college provides good on campus opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees was in a semester wise break-up. The first semester started with around 1.5 lac per semester. After every semeseter the fees increase by a certain percentage (around 10%). Hostel fees was collected seperately. Different hostels had deifferent fees (Average 50,000 per semester) in whch food, A/C, electricity, gym and other necessities were all included. The security deposit was around 15,000 that was refunded after the 4-year course completion. Semester wise scholarships were povided based on CGPA to he top n students, ranged from 50,000 to 3 lcs. fees increase as faclities for the course increased like CSE students had more fees than electrical.

Campus Life

5

The overall expirience of campus life, social life clubs and societies nd infra is more than upto mark. they have more than 70 society that the students can chose on the first event of every year that is a society fest in which all clubs participate and showcases their opportunities.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel has a warden, 2 caretaker and one nght caretaker. warden is alwasy an HOD of any department. here is a cowarden who is also a faculty in the college itelf. th hostel mess prepared clean food and good dessrts too.

Admission

I chose this college because i was impressed by the placement recorde it holds, placing around 99% students in peak season. I applied to VIT, BITS, IITs and amity, and this suited me more based on location.

Faculty

5

faculy to student ratio was sometimes low fo some courses but upto mark for 95% of the courses. Faculy student relationship was also good as most faculy were friendly and helpful in all aspects of not just college but life. To name a few good faculty - KKG sir, Gagandeep maam etc. There were some faculties that i didnt like due to their strictness and attitude towards teaching and students although its perfectly fine ratio of good teachers were more. My college generally takes in sudents fom the JEE Mains percentile with reservation for SC/ST/OBC and punjab schooled students. Exam system was 30% for sessionals( 2 MCQ based exam) and 2 subjctive exams ( Mid-sem and End Sem) per semester.

Night Life

4

the nighlife in college is not very good as the hosel in-time is 8:30 and if late the hosyels contated parents. we cannot be out of campus after 7 although the city has a lot of clubs. if the timngs are changed these are reall good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
