A scholar's perception

It's a commerce course which influenced me to choose the course as I see myself in finance field in future hopefully. The curriculum is completely based on commerce subjects and yes somehow I feel the subjects lacks the practical implications of what we learn in it. The exams of the course are not that hard they are moderately balance level.

University of delhi is a central government University so it provides the higher education at a very affordable fees. The yearly fees of the bcom course at dyal singh college is 14.6k. Also the college and university provides fees relaxation for EWS students and other reserved category students. There are different types of scholarship to avail higher studies to all the category students.

The campus is life is good at dyal singh and have a peaceful environment at the campus. There are different clubs in the college like placement cell, economics club, commerce club, finance, nss, ncc etc. which helps in character development of students and provides them a real life problem solving skills. All the class room don't have advanced technology resources but yes few dedicated are there. The college campus provides different types of ground for different different sports and extra curricular activities. College also have a library enables them to have different different books, journal etc

My main goal was University of delhi only and target was obviously a top college of delhi University the north campus colleges are known for its prestigiousness and my goal was also same. Unfortunately my cuet score was not that good to get my aimed college but yes dyal singh college is also considered good as it also comes under the university of delhi. The admission process to get admission in any of the university of delhi college is by appearing for CUET after 12th class. The entrance exam is moderately balanced if u prepare well u can crack it easily

The faculty at the college are very educated and are very helpful and kind. Yes, exceptions is everywhere but overall the faculty to students relationship is good. And ratio is around 1 faculty to 40-50 students. The account sprofessors is very kind. There are mid semester tests and viva. And end semester practical and theory exams of 160 marks total. Marking scheme varies from subject to subject. The course curriculum is average as there is needs to change in it as most of the topics are outdated and needs changes in it.

The College campus has a self owned canteen and have different different food, restaurant outside the college campus. Dyal singh doesn't own a hostel facility for the students but yes there are many wonderful places near the campus to visit and hangout with friends
